Did anyone watch the Michigan-Ohio State documentary on HBO anytime? There were highlights of Massillon that made the documentary. One of those included Dennis Franklin (Michigan) and Chris Spielman (Ohio State) and the Tigers taking on a #1 ranked Canton McKinley team in the late 90's.

I LOVED Spielman's reaction when he thought about attending Michigan from his dad: "You're not going up north. I'll tell you where you're going: You are going to go south on I-71 and to Ohio State because if you go to Michigan, don't come home."

Spielman's response: "So I chose Ohio State."

Holy cow, Massillon is really widely known...I never thought the city would even be on HBO of all things.

Massillon went nationwide about 60 years ago dude....wake up. I did see the show....very good....

What I was trying to say was that it was the first time I ever saw Massillon mentioned on HBO. A city that welcomes people with open arms.........:2thumbsup: !

I'll tell you what. I liked Denny Franklin's touchdown run late in the 1973 game that ended 10-10.

Nice documentary. I was impressed.

You hit the nail on the head BIG TIME! The soul and pride of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (savior of thy Pittsburgh blood) and then the three-time OHSAA Division I state finalists!!

You know......if I didn't know better, I'd have to say that Dennis Miller would be a Massillon fan! I can see him right now in orange and black.........

Massillon was on HBO 20+ years ago for a documentary/special about James Huberty. Okay, so the storyline wasn't so great, but...
