chumly has received the scouting report from the venerable Mr. Whoopee:

Mr. Whoopee said to forget about what he saw in Hamilton in their first two games. More importantly, in the last 24 hours he has heard from a VERY reliable source in Massillon, without any doubt, the TIGERS WILL BE READY TO PLAY Hamilton.

GO TIGERS - BEAT HAMILTON!!

Paradise Valley never had a chance, played hard, but never had a chance. PV dressed about 36 guys - it was like the varsity scrimmaged the JV's (at best). So, Hamilton got a rest; First team only played mostly in the first half.

Thanks Chumly,

What weapons does Hamilton have offensively? Are they a run or a pass team?

Hamilton runs mostly out of the wing-t. Typical misdirection, mixed in with the option, including an occasional unbalanced line. They have a QB who runs the option fairly well, but hasn't handled the passing to his coaches liking - he had a really bad streak of incomplete passes Friday and that was against a very mediocre team. He's a little gimpy from a knee injury last season. If we can contain the run, we can make it a long night by putting pressure on the QB. He is not as good of a passer as Moeller's QB, but has some very good receivers.

The WR KerryTaylor (#5) has received most of the attention, but I think Trey Peacock (#10) is showing himself to be the better of the two this season - they are both threats. Pressure on the QB is the key - he has happy feet and hasn't thrown well under pressure so far. The QB will run over guys when running the option.

Defense? They are good. Their inside linebacker is all over the place and they will show a lot of different looks from their standard 4-3 set. We have the speed to beat them with what we have though (but I thought that against Moeller too).

I bet both teams bring their A game and it'll be good. I believe it's our game to win with a great effort, which I know is coming.

I believe that's not the Chandler team that the Tigers play this week.

Thanks LTFT

Colin Parker mentioned in the article is out for the season - had surgery for a torn ACL a few weeks back.

This will clearly be Hamilton's first real test, and I'm sure Massillon's coaches have seen some things in the film of their first game that will help them prepare for this game. Red Mountain showed some ability to run the ball against their defense but stopped themselves too many times with mistakes (Ahem).

Kerry Taylor returns punts (Ahem) - the Tigers are gonna have to decide how good they wanna make him look to those PAC-10 schools recruiting him.
