I'm STILL recovering from the State Title game TAILGATE EXTRAVAGANZA !!!

That was/is the the fondest memory of Tiger football. What a fabulous weekend !!!:weightlift:

Right now, it looks like my games for the year will be the Herbstreit classic and then we are having my 10th (yea right) year reunion McKinley weekend. So, right now, I'm asking DawgH8R to get over the hangover of last year's tailgate and get ready to rumble.

I'll be there. It will be a FEW degrees warmer than our last tailgate. :poke: I know MTown and Bambo have been working on their tailagate menu for months now.

The way I see it, opening day is almost Christmas! My Tailgating
will start around 1 or 2pm.

It'll be a little warm for my Chili, so my smoked pulled-pork
w/slaw will accompany me!

Can't wait to see the crew again......

DID SOMEBODY SAY TAILGATE!

The day of the first game is one of the best days of the year. I think a 1pm arrival is a good time to start. At this point, Bambo and I have not quite nailed down the menu. We have so many menu choices that it becomes difficult to weed out choices. But I will tell you one thing that I am ready for.....

PULLED PORK!
PULLED PORK!
PULLED PORK!

...with slaw!

I have no clue what we're bringing yet. The season is ONE MONTH away and I haven't finalized it yet. I'm slipping...

One thing is for sure, with the old favorites like the pulled pork, beans and brownies on the menu I will be a happy boy.

I found a few pics from tailgating last season.

JWest and I are going to the Tigers season opener, but don't know that we'll stop by to say hello to everyone. My uncle Gordy (Gordon Appleby-WHS Class of '41 and member of 1940 Tigers) is going to try to make it to Massillon for the season opener, so we may be keeping him and his wife company before the game.

So if we don't see you...have a great time, and GO TIGERS!

He still loves Massillon and Ohio State (where he was a captain for Paul Brown and also a member of their National Championship team). He has lifetime season tickets to OSU games and tries to make it to the season opener each year at Massillon.

However, last year, he was diagnosed with early stage Alzheimer's, so we're not sure if he will be up to coming next month or not. I hope so, because he really enjoys it.

Last year, when the announcer told the crowd that he was there, he stood up and waved to everyone, and afterwards, everyone around him was asking him to sign their football program, and to see his National Championship ring (Jim Tressel ordered them for the remaining living members of the 1944 team, when OSU won the National Championship a few yeras back, as they only received lapel pins back then.) It really made his day.

:offtopic: Hello PB,

Good to see you posting. How's the health?? Last time I talked to your sig/other, (a couple of months ago), he said you weren't feeling the greatest.

Hope all is well.

I remember those tailgate pics from the McK breakfast tailgate. Seems like 4ever ago !!

Hey DAWGH8R!! How's it going? Hope everything is well with you and the Mrs.

JW and I are expecting at the end of this year, and I've been having some complications. I've been in the hospital and such, but hopefully, things will be fine. Thank you for asking.

Yes, the breakfast tailgate was a LOT Of fun!! I'd love to do that again. I had a great time. Hopefully, we'll see you two this season at some games.

Take care! :)

Count on me being there also! My mother is getting my black pinstriped suit worked on so it should be ready to go by late August!

By the way, I'm hoping to see if I can get the rest of my family and my 2-year-old niece out to Massillon to introduce them to all the people that played a role as to where I am at today!

P.S. Speaking of tailgate, what was up with the only Massillon native who is always "bringing the pain" when she partially snapped at me to put my coat back on (she tried to keep me from showing off my blue three-piece at the state title game)?

If Obiefan can get some pics of me in my black three-piece, I'll autograph them free of charge!
