I'm glad this thread was started...The parade was moved to the weekend before Thanksgiving due the State Championship Games when all six games were played at Massillon...I understood that...Why then hasn't the Parade
been moved to Thanksgiving weekend when more people are home to see the Parade AND it actually is at the start of the Holiday Season...I for one would like to get through Halloween and Thanksgiving before we see Christmas Decorations.

This year the finals aren't the weekend after Thanksgiving so why couldn't they have moved the parade. It's too early in my opinion.

I dont even remember who told me anymore, but supposedly the reason is to give area merchants a sort of jumpstart on the shopping season.

I agree about not wanting to see Christmas decorations around Halloween time, but this morning's little bit of snowflakes have got me in the mood to start decoratin, LOL! So I guess I will make the effort and go to the parade and get into the spirit. But I need a Christmas smilie:angel:

I agree too, I would like to see the parade done on Thanksgiving morning.
