Selling that land and shutting down 9 holes is about the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. They will be cutting their revenue down by 1/3 with the loss of leagues, outings, members and available tee times. This won't be a temporary loss of income, it will be permanent.
Building 9 more holes wasn't to smart, but selling them off at a 4 million dollar loss, while at the same time reducing your revenue potential is even worse.
