It looks like Whiskey Ranch has yet more trouble on their hands and they are on the radar screen of the Mayor. Gosh, yet ANOTHER incident there.

From what I see it sounds like it is disputed that the two in this fight were even in the bar. I guess we should figure out that first before hanging these people.
Not to mention the fight definately happened outside, so wouldn't that fall under the juristicion of the police and not the private security of the bar? Not sure, but this definately isn't a place you want to "highlight" your city.
Reading the mayor's comments more closely it sounds like he is more upset that they have not worked on his economic problems for him. If they rent out the top half of the bulding they own is their business, if it looks horrible and is an eyesore, then it is the city's business.
Mind you, this may not be the bar the city wants there... but it is the only business so far who has been able to stay in business there.

Spize, definitely the business aspect was exuded loud and clear.

Wan, we should have just done it then. Nipped it, nipped it, nipped it. I'm going to take some personal blame, along with Seeker and ObieWan for not taking care of this situation when it arose its ugly head!!! LOL

Well I guess if video games and Metallica can make you kill, then surely rap music can make people angry and want to fight.
Do they even have rap music in there? I thought it was a country-type bar??

They alternate between country and hip-hop/rap.
It's not the hip-hop/rap music that causes violence.
It the disgusting ELEMENT that such music attracts to a bar.
If you don't know what I mean, you don't get out enough.
Go to the Pub at BV around 12:00 and sit at the bar for two hours.
You'll get an education.

Don't do the bar scene anymore.
I would think it's more alcohol fueled, combined with age, than what type of music is playing. Then again, that type of music attracts a younger crowd so....okay.
I think I was in that bar once or twice when it was Scorchers. I agree with the poster that said put a restaurant there. Bring back a Grinders.

I'm not big on rap either, but country makes me want to stick forks in my eyes.
I'm much more of a 70's Classic rock kind of girl.

I'm into the '80s stuff now, especially when I'm running, exercising, etc. In my car though it's Howard until 10:00am and then Channel 10 - THE BOSS.

I have Howard on all the time unless my little one's in the car. Now his commercial breaks are getting to 10 or more minutes long (it won't be long before we're back to the 20 minutes) and coming pretty much every hour, so I'll turn either the 70's or 80's station on. Sometimes Sirius Hits 1 just to stay up to date, but I can't stand that for very long.
The Boss' channel is pretty good, but a lot of songs I've never even heard before, or they're some horrible recording from some Jersey bar. Still great though. I'm not even aware of all the channels they have to offer, really. I got it only for Howard. The rest is a bonus.

On mky sirius I generally go Howard 100, then Howard 101 for Bubba. If I want music I kick on my XM.
It is funny that music was brought up in this conversation though.
Originally the trombone was considered to be "the musical instrument of satan" that title later went to the violin, then the guitar, then the electric guitar, ect...
Basically every time the religious nuts don't care for a particular type of music or musical instrument it of course becomes the favored instrument of the devil and only listened to by "sinners" or bad people.
Carle should be old enough to remember this.
"Wake up, little suzy, wake up!" was originally considered way too provocative and was banned in many areas. That kind of music was not to be tolerated and would only be listened to by people of low morals.

What are the effects of alcohol on memory?
Only the first drink of alcohol would have a stimulating effect on the human brain. The second and third drink would act as an inhibitor and suppress brain function.
Black Out
“As the person continues to drink, he becomes increasingly intoxicated until he reaches a point where brain function is so inhibited that the brain cannot commit events to memory – a state commonly referred to as alcohol intoxication delirium or ‘black out’,” says Prof Willie Pienaar of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Stellenbosch.
People are known to do outrageous things and can commit complex tasks while being drunk, such as getting married or spending vast amounts of money, but cannot remember these events the next day.

I drank very little that night. I certainly wouldn't have been on a bull had I chosen to drink more. I'm not much of a drinker anyway. And of course, you want your mental faculties when CarlE comes to town because it's such a memorable experience!
