Gee, and maybe if Michigan had recruited him they wouldn't have been beaten by a 1 http://img.epinions.com/images/opti/b4/10/elec-Accessories-All-Duracell_AA_1_5v_Alkaline_Battery-resized200.jpg team

I'm obviously not happy with the upset, but I'm happy for BG's performance. I expect to hear his name often during his remaining time in college.

Totally agree! Inspite of being an OSU fan, I am very happy for and proud of Brian Gamble's accomplishments so far as a Freshman. Just imagine how much better he will get each year. Brian is going places:thumbsup:

MAKING A PLAY Illinois' Brian Gamble crosses the goal line for a second-quarter touchdown during Saturday's win over Ohio State. It was the first college TD reception for the Massillon Washington High graduate

I called and gave him a proud tiger message after the game and applauded him on his efforts.
MRR55 and Kamd50---- I talked to Coach Gillum at OSU several-several times about BG after his junior year and all the way up until BG committed to Illinois. He kept giving me the impression that the bucks were going to offer. Honostly--I think BG would have been a better fit at OSU than Oliver and a few others they went with last year as well!! Anyway----BG has a bright future in college.

I said all along that BG could play anywhere in the country. You never know what he was thinking though, 1) go to OSU and probably wait 2 years to play, or 2) go to Illinois and play as a freshman. I think BG made a very good choice.

Tressel's oversight is Illinois' gain. I think that it's pretty inspiring how BG being in the right place at the right time and being more than willing to switch positions when a would-be starter got injured has lead to his recent success this season. A good decision, but also luck, hard work, and maybe even a little divine intervention all have had something to do with:angel:
Whatever it was, Monte, make sure Brian knows that his Massillon fans are still behind him and will continue to follow his career and be wishing nothing but the best for him.

As pissed as I am about this game, it is funny that ESPN.com had an article on the game about Juice Williams and Ron Zook. In this article it talks about how Juice wanted to go for it and it took BG telling him that" If you know you can get it, tell him!" That is when Juice went up and told Zook he could get it, after BG told him to. Should be a special player for the Illini.

Wow, that is crazy. Pretty big ones to tell that to your QB in such a huge game as a freshman.
I still don't understand why the heck Tress. called a TO. Maybe they didn't have the right guys on the field, but as soon as he called it I had a good felling that Illinois would go for it.

The reason he called it was because he thought they had too many guys on the field, and it was too loud to get everyone in the right place. Bad excuse for a bad coaching decision. Yea Big Marbles by BG, but we all know he isn't bashful when it comes to leadership!

I still never heard for sure, but do coaches get to challenge a play or does it come from the booth? I can't believe that fumble didn't get challenged. That is one of the view cames where I felt it was obvious that Tressell was outcoached....although it doesn't help when your qb who is pretty safe and conservative throws 3 interceptions. I could live with the first one, but the last 2 were stupid. You can't throw one in the red zone and then after that great scramble for the first down he throws into double coverage.
I have a feeling that Gamble is going to be a great one for Illinois.

Come on guy's heck he was wide open for the Td. Have nothing against the kid at all. But there was no defender on him and that hurt the Buckeyes to.

Fault him for making a catch and the defensive breakdown of the buckeyes! Cheer for the hometown kid---the bucks lost and it is final--move on to next week! better hope not landing another massillon kid dont bite them in the but!!

In addition to reviewing the crew that officiated the OSU-Illinois game, the Pac-10 suspended the replay official for not stopping the game after the Illini scored a touchdown that ended with an apparent fumble. Ohio State recovered, and replays showed that it should have been ruled a touchback.
Talk about affecting a season. One call may have changed the course for several teams in the top five
