Yep, you Massillon myopics just keep rooting for these guys after they leave. Hell, I hope it comes back to haunt you again next week. Someday, you'll learn once they're gone they're freaking GONE. Nice. How about we all hope Shawn Crable has 400 freaking tackles next week and Michigan takes whatever sliver of hope we have left to get in the title game away. This crap pissed me off earlier in the week and I'm REALLY pissed off now.

Ummm... I dont see why its bad to be proud of players that are doing good on the next level that came from Massillon, just because they arent on the team you would hope they were... I was upset seeing that TD, but I would rather it be BG than anyone else...
Especially for me, some of these players doing goood at college, are the same people I had classes with before they graduated...
So its ok to be proud... Once a Tiger, always a Tiger...
Good job BG

You're right. "We" is not the appropriate word but ONLY because I'm not a member of the OSU team. So if you're taking this geographical hypothesis of yours am I now supposed to root for St. Pete Catholic since I'm closer to them than Massillon? Come on, Wan.

I don’t care if it sounds right or not, I like to see former Tiger players do well.
To me it’s just not right to say… O.K., you’ve graduated from Massillon, but if you happen to go to another Big Ten school, other than OSU, we don’t care about you anymore. Hey, they all can’t be Buckeyes.
When kids play for Massillon we get to know them and care about them. Sort of “adopt” them. For me it continues throughout the years in whatever they do. You always want them to succeed. For that matter, I want all Massillon graduates to succeed.
I really wanted OSU to win….but, that touchdown by Brian was pretty.
And, it really sounded good when the announcer said “Brian Gamble from Massillon, Ohio”!!!
Congratulations on a great game Brian!!!!!!! http://www.intercot.com/discussion/images/smilies/football.gif

So who exactly in Stark County do you support? I don't shove Massillon down anybody's throat. I was at Northwest's game on Friday and North Canton's game on Saturday. I'll be at some other playoff games this weekend. I enjoy good high school football. And basketball. As I see it,Ohio State, and many other colleges, are getting as corporate as the pros;so much big money involved. I don't make any sense because I simply get tired of seeing this? And hearing "You don't root for the Bucks? How dare you!" And here's one for you to choke on,Chief. Was glad to see Brian score the TD and root for him and any other Tiger out there and also kids that I know around me up here. Really have no opinion on the buckeyes, I really have no connection to them, didn't go to college there, know anyone there and Columbus is pretty far away. My best friend's son is #2 QB at Iowa so I pull for them now. He wanted to be a Buckeye but Tressel offered the kid from Georgia first (the one picked up for trying to pick up a hooker a couple weeks ago) even though he was player of the year in Ohio DII-III. So for now I'm connected there. As far as Ohio colleges, Kent St. is close and my kids went there so that's who I root for as well...

I am VERY proud of all ex-Tigers doing well, and always will be no matter what, or who they play for, or work for. BUT, just as I support my hometown I support my home state. NEVER under ANY circumstances could I root for Michigan or any other state to beat OHIO! Unless you have some ties there I dont get that, never will, and never want to. And as far as raising my kids, its right up there w/ smoking, alcohol, or sex. Not under my roof!, to put it mildly.

Buddy, you have a real problem! I was thrilled to death to see Brian play so well and hope that Shawn will do the same this weekend. That is NOT saying that we wanted Illinois or Michigan to WIN---for Pete sakes. Don't you understand that it makes you proud to hear the announcers say "Brian Gamble from Massillon, Ohio." It sure beats the publicity we are getting on TV and the papers at the moment! It makes people realize that we have a lot of GOOD that goes on in Massillon too!

I love it Baby first Brian Gamble scores to put the Illini up then Crable rocks Beanie's world. Taken down the school that ruined Zwick. Yeah I dont wanna hear Troy Smith anything if Zwick had started with Ted Ginn he would have won a heisman too. Just look how bad Smith did without him.

Its still sales.....again, when did this become rocket science? Is this custom software you wrote? You seem to do alot of talking about how nobody can do your job, what is it that makes your sales gig so "difficult"?

I was thinking the same thingLOL
I know Carle---family then money!!LOL
Austin----it more than OSU/UM for me it is about family and I hope Shawn and UM get the "W" just like I was rooting for BG because he's family!----that TD hyped all the other tigers in college to make more plays----its contagious and I love it when one of my boys or all of them are doing great things.
I took those boys to camps, worked out with them at midnight, coached/mentored them, helped them in making the right choices---I am always going to root for them regardless if they are playing the bucks, browns----whoever!!

I have no problem who you root for, especially if you are rooting for the local guys. I just choose to keep supporting OSU. Hopefully Crable will do very well in a losing effort.
What a way for Brian to score is first touchdown though!

Some ppl have a lot of growing up to do. We are adults from a football-minded community. As adults, the responsible thing to do, is support our young men as they try to make their niche in life, no matter where they play ball. They had no reservations when they gave their all for us! Why wouldn't we wish them luck, and enjoy seeing them do well, no matter where they go. And on top of all this OSU is overrated this yr. Face the facts, they have a pansy schedule and do not deserve such high praise. Facts are facts, and they are not that good this yr. National title shot is not deserved and should not happen. I love OSU, but this is not their best team. Get over it. And this should have no bearing on whether or not someone roots for a hometown boy. Grow the heck up!
