I haven't told anyone this but even though I am still with The Suburbanite as a writer for the Lake Blue Streaks, I have been working temporarily at US Ceramics in East Sparta through Labor Ready in Canton with five other people.

Our boss, Dan Kent is a native of Texas and is a graduate of Texas High School (home of the Tigers) and he was quick in a conversation to praise Massillon fans as he praised them for their devotion to the Tigers as he said their fans were like no other.

It seems like Massillon has everyone's number when it comes to being the best fans. Everywhere I have been, I have heard more positive compliments about Massillon fans than I have any other school in Stark County, if not Ohio. And you can also point to Cincinnati Western Hills coach Chris MacFarland and his comments about Tigers fans.

We appreciate you passing along the positive compliments, Keno. Especially when some seem to think that Massillon has been downgraded to some sort of laughing stock to outsiders. It simply isn't so:tig:

I agree wholeheartedly. The poster on here who went to great lengths to say that Massillon was a laughing stock around the state was the complete opposite of everything that I have ever heard or read throughout the years. I really believe that, for the most part, the Massillon fans/people are extremely friendly toward others and particularly the visitors to our town. We are proud of our town and our history---we really do have much to be proud of.
