Hey there everyone from Ohio!

I must say that I am extremely excited for next Saturday's game. And before the heat gets cookin, let me just say that I look forward to a really GOOD game.

I'm not big on bashing, because I know both sides have they're own say. But I have been reading plenty of posts, and, unfortunately for us, the scout reports from the first game were pretty close. A 21-7 victory for Hamilton High School is almost as bad as a lost, considering last year our first team defense only allowed 6 points leading up to the Championship.

For those of you who don't know yet, we defeated Paradise Valley last night 49-7. This win of course was expected, considering PV's record in the last two years.

Heres a few little tid-bits, just facts, I'll try not to be TOO biased. :cool2:
Hamilton High School has been to the 5A State Championships 4 times in the last 5 years. We won consecutively in 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons.
Hamilton High School is ranked 14th in the Nation by USAToday (although many critics rule their rankings out)
Hamilton High School has never lost more than three games per season in its 8 year history.

Yes, those are our "perks" - what we stand for and such. I know you guys have been around a lot longer than us. But, again, I'm just stating the facts.


I will say this: dont take this football team lightly. We're not like the first two teams you played. This game has been our focus for the last 4 months. You guys have a target on your back. And we will come at it strong.

As Backfield Drum Major and representative of the Hamilton Marching Huskies, Ill close out with my respects to your football program and marching band. I cannot even explain how excited I am to be on that field in front of 17,000 people. :afro:

We have 103 people in our band. I hear that our band is roughly the same size as yours?

And we are coming in to Cleveland Airport at 10:45PM on thursday. We're all extremely excited. We're actually not checking out the Football hall of fame, but our football team is. :)

On friday we're spending the evening at Cedar Point. I'm freaking excited about that. Its been my dream since I started studying roller coaster theme parks to go there. I hear it owns Six Flags Magic Mountain in California. Saturday morning before the game we're participating in the Norton High School band show.

Thats basically what we're up to. Im glad to hear from you all (I regret to say that I half expected you guys to boo me away from the site. haha) :afro:

Ubergeetar, sounds like you folks have been darn successful in your recent history! Congrats! We've been around since Taft was president, and we've had our ups and downs! Most of us are just as proud of our band as we are our football team and our cheerleaders. I know lots of people from Ohio have located to Arizona, not all of them retirees. I 'll tell you this, MOST of our fans will be cheering your band, as well as ours, but you must cut us some slack when it comes to cheering for your football team. Hopefully, we'll show you some hospitality and some good football. I think you'll get a kick out of your trip, and I wish your band the best of luck!

Hahaha. This will be fun.

So yeah. When you hear "Drum Majors Vanessa Grey and Joey Smiley is the band ready..." you know that's me up there. I'm so stoked to get the crowd pumped.

Our style is quite a bit different tho. Not as much sho, more marching, different music. You'll see i guess. Its a different kind of effect... But yeah. I cant wait to see the Tiger Marching Band. :)

Ubergeetar, are you more of a corps style band, military, or what. We, as the name implies, feature the swing style, but we are familiar with dci. We host a show in July-August, and the Bluecoats are based in Canton, thank God 8 miles away. We've had military style bands come in from time to time, but they aren't very numerous back here. Again, wish you great times at Cedar Point, have a good time in Norton, and I'll watch your Saturday night show with a great deal of interest, but during the game, Go Tigers, Beat Hamilton!
