Posted: Wed Sep 05, 2007 11:50 pm Post subject: NFL Films, Verses TV, Doing Entire Show On McK-Mass

From the Mckinley Sight as Quoted:

I have been contacted by Kathy Davis (Assistant to the President of NFL Films in New Jersey) about how NFL Films is going to produce a series about high school football rivalries for Versus TV, and they are going to be covering the McKinley-Massillon game this season.

I am making this post because I have been asked to pass along to the producer of the show some of the poeple who are the most rapid, most colorful, most dedicated fans on the Bulldog side of the fence to be considered for the broadcast.

If you are this person or know of someone who is, please send me a PM or E-mail with the contact information.

If you know someone but do not know how to reach them, make a post in response and we'll put our heads together on how to contact them.

I would like to see a list of those of you from out of town that are coming in just for that game and have the producer talk to you on why it's important for you to make the journey back to Canton just for the McKinley-Massillon game.

Any more ideas would be great, so please add some.

Remember, Lynn Wafler said we could get the stadium decorated this year, by painting the hill and getting more done this season than in the past, so let's look into that, (Booster Club and Volenteers are needed) as well as the 10 year celebration of the 1997 State Championship team that will be taking place.

Here are the web sites, FYI

I wish I could make the game this Saturday, i unfortunately have to work, but I am going to watch the freshmen play; I hope they all win from the frosh, jv, to the varsity!! The people I work with in Wellington know about and follow them from week to week and ask me how they did and my assistant manager told me today that to him Massillon was a much better football program that what we have and also quote: "Massillon is a powerhouse as far as the school, team and stadium go". I was taken aback that he said this seeing as he has lived I Wellington his whole life. I'm glad I grew up in Massillon but I'm sad I chose to move away. There is no comparison. Good luck guys!

They are going to paint the hill. I can't wait to see the little kids go sliding down that.

NFL films were here at work today (unfortunately I work in Canton). They were here with all their big cameras and everything because the document place that is here is printing the program for the game. I thought it was neat how they are covering every aspect (which they have to be if they are looking at the programs being printed)...There are only 3 of us Massillon fans here that I know of and just for the record I have my office loaded with Beat Mck., and Go Tigers signs and it is Wednesday and hasn't one McK person said a word which is really rare! If I didn't know any better I would say they are a little scared.
