Back in the day... (oooops, I'm showing my age!)

Upper Arlington-Watterson and Eastmore-Walnut Ridge were the biggest rivalry games in the Columbus area.

I don't have a clue who's UA's "rival" game now; probably one of the Hilliard schools.

I'm not sure who UA's rival would be. I doubt it would be Davidson or Darby (They may play Darby in Round I).

I don't know if they're aware of football there anymore.

Dalton/ Tuslaw is also a good rivalry.

Central and Aquinas are very similar in their rivalry to Massillon and McKinley in many ways. However, look for Central to annihilate them this year.

no i was just stating a fact. Everyone knows nothing will beat the massillon mckinley rivalry. Its a game where ANYTHING can happen. Last year was a perfect example.

getting back on topic did anyone mention the "holy war" in Cleveland. Iggy vs. Ed's. Also X and Elder seems to be the big game in Cintucky these days.

From a small town in southeast Kentucky. Our local high school has a little tradition in football. Five state championships and six runners up. I found Massillon in my research of high school football and watched "Go Tigers". Became a fan immediatly. Got tickets to this years Buchtel game and could not believe the atmosphere. Unbelievable! Coming back for the McKinley game and three more nights in Tigertown. GO TIGERS>

When the three Catholic schools of Toledo hook up, its pretty intense:

Central Catholic vs. St. Francis - battle for the "Irish-Knight" trophy

St. Francis vs. St. Johns' - all boys school bragging rights

Central Catholic vs. St. Johns - last 2 seasons have determined city champion as well as numerous times in the past 30 years.

Probably the best of the bunch this year. The beauty of this one is that it lasts all year long, not just football. Good call there, brother DAWGH8R.

Speaking of other big games, the Piqua-Troy matchup game is also one of Ohio’s oldest rivalries dating back to 1899. They have played 122 times.
