Ohio State doesn't have to worry about anything other than winning the next game. With everybody else losing, I don't care how light the "critics" consider OSU's schedule to be....if we win all of our games, we will play for the National Championship. I just love all these people...."LSU is the best team"....if they're that good, how did they lose?
Ohio State will never, ever be a glamour team because of the way Tressel coaches. We will never light up the scoreboard, we don't try crazy trick plays or run the spread offense. We do what we do....defense, control the clock, solid special teams...win games.

Agreed and you can all thank Jim Tressel for that.

Because they play in a REAL conference, not the Big 10!! Do you think that OSU would go undefeated in the SEC? Do you think LSU would go undefeated in the Big 10?

Youngstown State= 1-AA or what they call it these days...
Akron= plays in the MAC
Washington= gave USC a game...then USC lost to Stanford and nearly lost to Arizona
Minnesota= lost to North Dakota State????
Northwestern= lost to Duke???
Purdue= let Notre Dame get back in the game (mind you i'm an irish fan myself)
Kent= another MAC school?
Michigan State= might as well call them the LUCKeyes...
Try playing LSU's schedule every week and see what happens...
OS WHO?

We can also thank him for riding that philosophy to a title in '02......... The friggin "U" thought we were overrated too.
Thank you very much!!!!! It ain't about how you look doin' it, it's all about the W!
Let me ask you Michisuck fans this.................
Would you rather have Tressel and his boring Offense, or Carr????

I think the answer is obvious but times will be a changin' and I look for Les Miles to be runnin' the show next season and will give JT a "run" for his money.

considering it's been three years since an SEC team went undefeated in the conference, what a great prediction kreskin.

You will not get me to defend Ohio State's schedule. It's real soft this year. But, you also conveniently left out the fact that we just got done playing a home and home with Texas and we start a home and home with USC next year. When is the last time any SEC sacked up and scheduled a non-conference game like that?
And please do not forget that even though OSU got kicked in the teeth by Florida last year, the Big Ten went 2-1 vs. the "real conference" last year in bowl games.
So to answer your question Benchboss.....would OSU go undefeated in the SEC? Probably not...but we don't have to!

Sure they are undefeated but purdue is the only top 25 team they beat.
well, let's look at the other's in the top ten and see how many top 25 teams they've played:
BC = 0
asu = 0
usc = 1
oregon = 1
wvu = 1 (and lost)
oklahoma = 2
vt = 2 (and lost one of those)
florida = 3 (but they have two losses).
lsu = 4
yep, looks like osu's the only team that has it easy. five other top 10 teams have played just as many or fewer games against top 25 teams.

proud to be,
James Patrick Tressel can stay at OSU...I'm loyal to Lloyd Carr!
P.S. And a note to MTown: How can you berate Carr for lashing out at ABC reporter Todd Harris in the 2003 game against OSU...he was in the heat of the moment! Give him a pass, will you!

the bucks do deserve to be #1 in the sense that this is how the system works. you lose and you move down....win and move up.
the bucks didn't get to be #1 by winning games they should be winning. they got to be #1 by NOT losing the games they should be winning (which is something most top ten teams haven't been able to do).
imo, right now there is no #1 team in the nation. anyone could beat anyone.

You are correct. But are they really #1? I honestly have no clue who the best team in football is. I want to say LSU, but I'm not 100% confident in that.
