no arugment from me on #1. that guy has been through some bad times with the tribe, but loves the tribe no matter what.
can't believe the bengals fans are on the list. they're the most fairweather fans in ohio. very quite down here right now.....wonder why. hmmmmm.

Well... The Bengals were the most profitable franchise in the NFL in the 90s, even with their record. The fans still came, even if the knew for sure (there were times in the 90s when it was 100%) they were going to lose that day.

can you post a link? although i'm not saying you're wrong, i find it VERY hard to believe that the worst team in the 90's would be the most profitable....especially more profitable than teams like dallas and washington. how does a horrible team, playing in a crap hole, make so much money?

i think you meant to say that SOME fans still came. my wife cheered for the bengals in the late 90's and because of that I received free tickets to the home games. some games, like the games against the steelers and browns (and largely due to steeler and browns fans) sold out, but most of the time that place wasn't near capacity. i know since i was there.
it's funny how there was so much support for the bengals at the start of the season, but now the whole town's quite. everyone's gone back into hibernation, but rest assurred they'll be back once the bengals start winning. they're selling out the stadium now, but wait until the bengals become the bungles again (and they're on their way).
