I wish you the best of luck today vs. St Ignatius! You have had some tough times already in this young season. Leave everything you have out on the field, which is all that anyone asks of you.

Go Tigers!

Play every play like you are the best player on the field-give 100%, stay focused, keep working towards the team goals!
Good Luck!
Beat Iggy!

i heard that this iggy team isnt as big as my freshmen year (senior, my freshman year we beat them 38-8 so baddly in fact i got to play) but they always seem to have good size and are usually a tough mental game for any massillon team.
iggys facilitys are awesome though they have a field turf not to mention they have a ss with thier own freshman band it was a cool experience
good luck freshman just try to get better a little at a time or aim high but start shooting low just set goals for yourself

Massillon lost 36 - 13. And yea, those guys on Iggy were much bigger than us. But hey, when I first saw them, I wondered if we would even score. So thumbsup to our Tigers on scoring 2 and not giving up! Better things are to come guys:thumbsup:

Report from Deefense man:

Out manned and out gunned the Frosh Tigers played TOUGH! That's a start.

We had many dropped passes hopefully that will improve with time.

RB (no 37? 36?) looked good when he had some day light.

Overall effort has improved greatly! Again, it's a start.

It sounds like some boys that were outmanned played like TIGERS tonight. Congrats to these boys on their effort. Better times are RIGHT down the line.

Although the Tigers lost a tough one, head coach Tim Menches was pleased with the way his team looked. What impressed him were the improvements the team made after last week's debacle.

Menches said last night that the Tigers "must keep playing hard all the time. The kids that play for Massillon know what it's all about."

Cleveland St. Ignatius head coach Terry Fergus also praised the Massillon players and fans after the game as well as he said that "Massillon played hard tonight and I love their guys. They played hard and their fans should be proud of them."

I thought Massillon made some improvements and the offense is starting to come together. A big break here and there and Massillon will notch a win on the season.

Offensively, they outgained the Wildcats in total yards 236-201 and rushed for 159 yards. They picked up eight first downs and ran 44 plays to Iggy's 39.

Yes, the freshman team made some mistakes that were costly, but those young guys played hard and never quit. Some were predicting a mastly blowout 50+ to 0, well that didn't happen. While 32 to 13 was not a win, the team's tiger attitude showed that there is spirit there. From what I saw on the field, this team has shown improvement. Does any one know who our number 36 is? He has great promise as running back, if he keeps working at it.I am wondering what this game would have been like, if Iggy hadn't had several of those short field situations.

on the opposite side of the ball i think we saw the reloading of the IGGY gun. their QB (lefty) throws a very nice ball and #24 the RB was very shifty as well.

We have a lot of things to work on, but i loved to see our young Tigers never give up!

Die Hard,

The frosh QB is very good, but from what hear he had an off night.

Ignatius still struggles on the offensive line on all levels, and that needs to be addressed before the gun will ever be reloaded.

Sounds like the Tigers played hard. (Good to hear)

I have to chime in here also and say that this game was a good improvement. Something to build on. I saw fire last night, that is the beginning of unity. Stay at it gentlemen! Go Tigers!

the RB was not #36.. it was #26.. his name is Aaron White.. The QB Robert Partridge is a decent quarterback... nothing amazing like a Zwick but hes a decent QB.. The Defense NEVER wraps up! Sooo Many missed tackles. The OL wasnt holding the blocks long enough and there WERE NUMEROUS dropped passes. They just need to play as a team and work on those little things and hopefully a W should be coming there way very soon.

actually you are wrong, aaron white didnt rush the ball too well last night and it WAS in fact #36 justin stokes who scored the only offensive touchdown last night on like an 80 yard run...this kid runs hard every time he touches the ball and has a great future for the tigers!!
