Our Official MP tailgate for the Warren game is in the same spot as usual, in the north parking lot near the entrance/exit. (flag-pole end of the stadium)
We ask that you *bring something* to share with the other tail-gaters.
*edit: I am most likely bringing my world famous Cheezey Potatoes...
As in the past several weeks, any new tailgaters (who brought food or drink) will get a copy of my 2005 and 2006 Best of Massillon DVD.
Come out and support Massillon Proud, meet new friends, or finally meet face to face with your online friends and Tiger Fans!
I'll be there... Will YOU?
PS: Reply on this thread if your coming and what is on the menu!

I will be there with my brownies. I am making some sundried tomato and jalapena dip and maybe something else. Obiefan (and others) you missed my Cajun Mama dip last week. I will bring some pop and water also.

Fine by me. Guess I'll just use the sack of potatoes on something else. I would like to know how many people are going to come though. I don't want to bring one pack and run out or bring two packs and have way too much.

Okay, is the parking lot across the street from PBTS the tailgating parking lot?
The last time I was there, there was a black van this big Tiger Flag and food everywhere. I may just make it in time for the game. I work in Solon, get back in Warren 45 minutes later, then hit the road for Massillon. Go thru Submarine evasive manuevers against the State Highway Patrol, meanwhile my son is in his safety seat in the back laughing at dad talking to himself everytime a state hoopie is lurking about. People in traffic in front of me can not move fast enough, thus annoy me. Road rage may set in, so when we get there, please have a hoagie waiting for us!!!!! Please??? I can't bring down the hot dog shoppe it will be to cold for ya. Maybe Uncle Nicks's Greek Fried Chicken? see ya Friday night and "

It's the north lot - across the street from the endzone with the flagpole.
Quickest way for you to get there is 77 to 21 to Lillian Gish (3rd Massillon exit, turn left). Turn right on Lincoln Way (away from the bridge) through downtown, up the hill, past Hess Blvd and the signs that tell you to turn right to the stadium. The next light is Tremont; there's a shopping center (Target, etc.) in the hole on the left. Turn right on 20th St SE (about 50' past the light). It will take you directly to the stadium, and you'll miss 90% of the traffic. Right before you get to the stadium, turn right on Cambridge. This is the street that runs between the stadium and the tailgate parking lot. The entrance to the parking lot is right across from the end zone.

Obie Wan correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought they usually have barricades at the top of Cambridge so you can't turn down that way....I know they have the few times I came in that way, but no one was around so I moved them and went the way I wanted to anyways. lol
Coming from Route 21 onto LIncolnway East, I usually turn Right off of Lincolnway East onto Hess Blvd, go to the 2nd light at Oak and turn Left through Stadium Park and keep following the road around the circle to the right till I get to the barricades blocking you from going in front of the Stadium. Then you can only turn left. That is the road between the flag pole and the parking lot where we tailgate. Come into the parking lot entrance and if you immediately turn right, we are right there on the right next to the light pole....Hope that's not too confusing.

You could be right. If you're going to the tailgate early enough, they may not have the barricades up yet. And given that I walk to the games up 18th, I never paid that much attention to traffic restrictions on the east side of the stadium.
Of course, one could always go down 20th, park in the visitors' lot, and just walk over.

I'll be coming this week with "Johnny White Pants". I'll bring a Kraus' Pizza this week (and of course a cooler of beverages!).

The picture below is of the "Madhatter's" tailgate group. They are are nearest neighbors.
Their van is usually there by the time it sounds like you will arrive.
Looking from the street, where this picture was taken, we would be just to the left (west) of them.
(Our group is not in this picture to protect the innocent.)

I would put up a picture of our group, but all of them have the canopy, and obiefan hasn't been putting the canopy and sign up lately.

Don't take it personally Jay.
We have had not even a drizzle for tail gates, plus we have had record breaking temps.
Plus, as you would be proud to know, our group has grown substantially and we need the space!
But, as MassillonMarine pointed out, we may need the canopy this week.

I have yet to see your canopy. Someone besides me has it. They did hand over the banner because I don't think they didn't want to be bothered with it. I took mine down to display yours. I haven't had my canopy in place since week one, since I have been starting much later, like 4pm. Why start early, and be the only one there for 3 hours until someone decides to show up?

I have heard from a relative that attends them that the food and friendship are OUTSTANDING.
He and his wife have raved about it and said it has to be one of if not the best tailgates around.
Kudos to the guys that started it and held it together for the last couple of years.
You guys and gals make MASSILLONPROUD!
This old man plans to be there this week.
I hope the Voice and Fyrewood can overlook our on-line differences and shake my hand, since all that matters is WE ARE MASSILLON!

DTN,
I'm always willing to overlook any "online differences" to meet other fans in person at the tailgates. Different people have different opinions, it's a fact of life....Unfortunately, due to other commitments, I may not be able to make the tailgate and if I do it will only be for a few minutes to say hello.....
I will be out in front of PBTS with Warren Firefighters and other Massillon Firefighters collecting money for "Fill the Boot for MDA" before the game if anyone wants to stop by and introduce themselves....or donate! lol
