I know someone who used to work there one summer a couple of years ago. His prediction is that CP will be taking out Disaster Transport and putting in another ride for next season too.

He is wondering why they are installing this coaster now when they usually put in new rides in the early spring. He thinks the second new ride will go in next spring.

Looks like a great addition to the park. A nice ride that most of the family can enjoy! Can't wait to ride it!

Cedar Fair will never take out any of their coasters at any of their parks. That rumor about Disaster Transport being taken out was going around when i worked at Cedar Point back in 96. and in 97 as well as 98, 99,00, 01 and 02..Guess what it never came out and it never will. Also the Magnum is NOT sinking! that Rumor started out as a April fools joke after its first season.

But DT is just a terrible ride now! It's just boring when you walk in-remember when they had all the robots, etc.?-nothing is in there now. And the flashes of light during the ride-now...nothing.

And I do know for a fact that the Demon Drop is for sale for $250,000. That thing has seen better days too. It just can't compete with the Power Tower.

Wan, 30 YEARS?? Geez Louise I've been in Florida 15 years and it's only been TWO since I've been to Cedar Point. OK, ObieWan your class assignment from me is to get to Cedar Point this summer someway, somehow. Perhaps XTiger can drive you up when he takes his children. LOL.

It's listed as 95 degrees which is 5 degrees beyond straight down.

In other words, you actually start to go upside down a little bit. You won't be able to see any track in front of you, no matter where your are on the train.
