Um, I've not heard anything about what happened in the desert of Arizona yesterday except for the fact that Kurt Warner picked that sorry defense apart and Arizona punked the Pittspukes. I was curious as to if one of you guys were going to mention it today. I mean, hell you're up at the crack of dawn posting when Pittspuke wins.!!! LOL

CarlE,
I saw that debacle. Give Arizona credit, they played a nice game and deserved to win. We just didn't play the Steelers football I know they can.
But it's only one loss. They need to get back up on their horse and get ready to beat Seattle!
Go Steelers!

Arizona will be a playoff team next season and maybe this year---bet??? Do not sleep on Wausinhut(sp) and his staff. The defense is more than solid and the offense is starting to score some points with all that talent.
DAWG and Keno----I like you guys but I hate the Steelers! GO COWBOYS!!!!

monte81,
Don't forget that Jessica Simpson's hometown lost two Super Bowls to Dennis Miller's hometown in a span of four years in the 70's!!
The Steelers will be fine. My website is pretty quiet today but everyone will be ready for Seattle (Bill Gates hometown), whom DM's hometown turned back in Super Bowl XL 21-10.

Whisenhunt knew the weaknesses of his former team and exposed them.

And thanks to the Browns (who were "PICKED APART" by the Steelers)
Pittsburgh STILL has first place in their division all by themselves.
Last time is checked
Pittsburgh 3-1
Cleveland 2-2
Baltimore 2-2
Cincy 1-3

Do you have some facts? Then do some research before you come to that statement. WTAM-AM, hi, you're on the air."
-Mike Trivisonno, host of "The Mike Trivisonno Show", weekdays 3 p.m.-7 p.m. on WTAM-AM 1100, Cleveland
You do know if you move to Pittsburgh you don't have to listen to that right.

npaflas,
You know how I am about Mike Trivisonno...he kicks 100% butt! I'll spare the rest because I don't want to feel the power of MTown about this guy...mentally he's been in my head about Triv since I mentioned that I was a longtime fan of his.

Triv must have some compromising photos of ClearChannel executives. Because whenever someone on another station under that "umbrella" shows favorable ratings, they magically are dismissed. His show is unlistenable.

Yet, he is the top rated personality in Cleveland year in and year out.

I mentioned a main reason for that. He is a protected entity. Many people "in the know" about local radio will tell you that. He has been beaten before in the ratings by announcers in the daypart at the same same company (Scott Howitt-WMJI & Danny Wright, WGAR), and those announcers were dismissed. Maxwell is building decent ratings on WMMS in the afternoon. It's the first time in many years the station can make that claim. But he has talked many times on-air about how he's concerned that ClearChannel will ship them off to Des Moines because the company will not allow someone to split Triv's audience. ClearChannel would rather claim they're number one in a weaker market, then have several shows with decent numbers.
I agree with these people's assessments of his talents written to a Cleveland publication).
"I left my hometown of Cleveland in the mid-'80s. At that time, I enjoyed the great Pete Franklin talk show, except when an uncouth caller, who thought he "knew it all," would call in. Imagine my surprise, upon returning to Cleveland six years ago, to find that the loudmouth now had his own show. At first I thought it was a joke, but if it was, it was being played on us by the management at WTAM. I'm not surprised that such a program attracts an audience -- so would public hangings -- but I am disappointed that a once-proud station has fallen so low in its standards."
"After listening for more years than I care to remember, I finally pulled the plug on Mike Trivisonno several months ago, following his attempt to interview Jim Brown, which I found painfully embarrassing, inept, and thoroughly unprofessional. Since his days as a caller on the old Pete Franklin show, I always had minimum expectations for Mr. Know-It-All, and he has never disappointed me. How much class can we expect from a guy who talks with his mouth full of strudel on a 50,000-watt transmitter to "38 states and half of Canada"? He abuses and heaps obscenities on callers who dare to disagree, yet is sickeningly obsequious in his fawning interviews of members of sports hierarchies. He expresses nothing but contempt for worthy (and entirely professional) competitors like Bruce Drennan, Kendall Lewis, Greg Brinda, and Les Levine, any one of whom could easily replace him.
His ratings, I submit, are the result of power (50K) and placement -- drive time on Rush Limbaugh's coattails -- rather than personality and professionalism. Why did I subject myself to such torture for so long? I guess I must fit the ideal Trivisonno demographic: I have no life, breathe through my mouth, and can't think and chew gum at the same time. "
Anyone who grew up in the area knows that guys like Franklin and Gary Dee had more broadcast talent in their pinkies, then Triv has in his whole bloated body. He is on a station that has all the major Cleveland sports teams and 50-thousand watts. Perhaps you find eating on the air, racial slurs and butchering the English language to be interesting radio. I don't.

It figures you would like that fat, mullet-headed moron. Why could I have guessed this?
