What does not kill us only makes us stronger - Steve Studer

Go Hard, Or go AWAY! - Steve Studer

WE WILL NOT ENTRUST OUR TRADITIONS TO THE TIMID AND THE WEAK - Steve Studer

Take those to the bank.
If he was here still or a Studer in the weight room the stuff going on this since the title game of 2005 would NOT be going on.

In fact I would have dared a kid tell Coach Stu "NO".

Or, Babics for that matter. I was somewhat surprised that Kovacs didn't take a stand.

Good question.

I think for the sake of the few true Tigers on this team and the remaining season, Kovacs isn't talking.. I respect that integrity. Perhaps he'll have a few words to convey after the season. We'll see.

Coach Studer has ALOT of true tigers he trained willing to step up to the plate and continue the tradition!! Our system keeps turning them guys away to Lexington, Columbus, on the streets, etc,...!!!

I was told over the weekend that when Coach Stu passed away, Massillon football may have passed away with him.

With all respect to Coach Stu and his family----he didn't build Massillon football and we starting dying when we didn't replace Coach Lec, James, Whitfield, Wells, etc,...with the same Massillon blood.

YOU REPLACE COACH STU AND OTHERS WITH DICIPLES!!! WE HAVE THEM AROUND BUT THE PROGRAM KEEPS US OUT!!! You don't even have to look or search far---we all are in driving distance and willing to do it!
MC---if Kovacs didn't/don't speak up---you are right he is not the man for this job at all! Closed mouths dont get to eat in Massillon!

I can think of a handful of guys that Stu trained who would be more than suitable for the job, but they keep getting passed-over for has beens!

They don't want use because we wont back down and take whatever ADMIN or anyone says! The best 11 play, get back to rugged conditioning, do not except failures, quit being passive coaches, etc,... thats why none of the diciples are coaching except Hack.(They can only tolerate one at a time)

I think there are few people, even a few members of MP, who Coach Stu would approve to be coaching the tigers.

That's because Coach Stu fed us Tiger Tradition everyday in weight training. He pushed us everyday to respond and get better. That's why we miss Coach Stu, the weight room can't be the same without him walking in yelling "Alright Men" then quietly telling us to get after it. You knew better then to slack off around him!!!!

monte81,"They don't want to use us because we wont back down and take whatever ADMIN or anyone says!" I agree with you it seems like all they look for are yes men. we need to get a coach who works to better the program and kids. not some hack who is a yes man and has no discipline. I want someone who is tough and gets these kids to not be a bunch of babies when things don't go there way. Life is not always going to be fair and a coach who teaches kids this will really help them later in life. they should be men when they leave the tiger football program not some crybaby.

Please refrain from criticizing our current coaching staff by individual names.

Thank you.

I think a lot of the problems we're experiencing at Massillon mirror the problems the Ohio State football program had before Coach Tressel was hired. Once OSU put an "Ohio guy" at the top of the program -- one who invited back former Buckeyes into the fold and put an emphasis on discipline, and understanding and appreciating the glorious Buckeye tradition -- things started improving dramatically. Tressel had a rough first year trying to change the culture, but after that, he took off and hasn't looked back.

Wish we could have the same results as OSU and keep a coach here long term also.
