Well here we are again another football season. The Super Bowl champions are back. This Thursday night the Steelers and Phins.
Again BW3 Massillon is the local home of the Steelers Backers. Come down and join the fun and craziness. We'll be there all season. Steelers look strong again this season. Big Ben is out right now but Batch will be OK.
Let the beer flow, let Pittsburgh win, and all is well in the world.:drinkem:

Pittbeer,
You know I am here representing the men of Dennis Miller's hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania...the 5x Super Bowl champion PITTSBURGH STEELERS!!!!!!!
And to all those Pittsburgh-haters, in case they all forgot who the champions (74', 75', 78', 79', 2005) are, I have a little treat for them:

Joey Porter, my man scored on a decisive interception return to drown the Dolphins and Heath Miller showed with that 87-yard touchdown that "If it's Miller Live, it's Miller Time!"
1-0 with a 9-game winning streak going back to the 2005 21-9 win over Chicago!!!!!
It's September 8th and the Pittsburgh Steelers are still at the height of their dominance as Super Bowl champions!!!!!!!!!!!

About 2 hrs. before kickoff. Big Ben is suppose to be a game time decision. Unless something has changed, I haven't been reading that much in the PG this week. Should be a great match up. This was starting to be a great rivalry before realignment. With Steelers in the North and the Jags in the South. Unfortunatley Jags usually punk the Steelers down there. The club will be at BW3 Massillon tonight. Not me I have the kids.
Browns are there normal selves. What else would you expect?
Go Steelers! And remember...

Well as poorly as the Browns have played so far this season you have to look for small victories. The Steelers laying the "big goose egg" on national TV did help me crack a smile. It was the first time the defending Super Bowl champs had been shut out since 1981 and was the Steelers lowest rushing output since 1982.

being a die hard Steeler fans, I feel the biggest problem they are having right now is not having that big time deep threat at receiver. The receivers overall last night dropped a lot of balls. Don't forget last year after Ben came back they lost like 2 or 3 in a row before they got on the roll. They will be fine.

I am not the one who likes to admit defeat when it happens but you have to give credit where its due.
Jacksonville deserves a ton of credit for beating two teams with a combined 10 Super Bowl wins. They deserve even greater praise for the way they shut down the powerful defending world champion Pittsburgh Steelers. That was a complete game played by the Jaguars and they are deserving of their win.
No excuses, no what ifs, no buts, they won this game and Jack Del Rio showed he can hold his own with the legendary Bill Cowher.
Props to Jacksonville on a flawless game from start to finish. The Pittsburgh Steelers will learn from this bitter taste of defeat and come back an even better team against Cincinnati.
It's September 19 and the Pittsburgh Steelers are still Super Bowl champions!

The Steelers running game will be fine. The Jax D line is excellent. Why do you think I have them on my fantasy team.
The Backers Club at BW3 is full. They capped it at 75 members this year. Just to think in the first year, 2003, they only had about 20 members.

Michigan will not be worn down as they were last year. Jim Herrmann is out of the picture and defensive coordinator Ron English has his starting 11 in the best shape of their careers.
For the most part, Michigan has been the tougher team in six of their wins. They will need that tough mentality against Penn State Saturday night...knowing the white out that will be expected at Happy Valley.

TigerswillbeTigers,
There was no reason Pittsburgh should have lost to Atlanta. Personally, I don't believe it should have been 41-38 and that roughing the kicker penalty on Polamalu was a phantom call!
Atlanta defensive guru Ed Donatell had the mindset to knock Roethlisberger out of the game and his defense did that. But the Steelers still had their chances to pull out the win and you can't ask for anything more.
This was a case of too much offense and too little defense...in the end, Pittsburgh's three-game winning streak in domes came to a close.
This is a maddening loss but it's one that can be corrected next week!
TigerswillbeTigers
10-23-2006, 02:09 PM
Keno!
Your Steelers have more problems then you're willing to admit. I think the thing that should be most glaring to you and the rest of the obnoxiuos "Steeler Nation" is the 41 put up on your vaunted D, not a "phantom" call as you put it!
Gentle Ben + "the foil curtain" + no Bus + no Randle El = mediocrity!

TigerswillbeTigers,
No one hadn't put 41 on the men of Dennis Miller's church since New England pulled the feat.
But honestly, I saw that last penalty and it was one that should not have been called as Atlanta got one more try.
That was a snake in the grass penalty and every Steelers fan knows it! And I'm sure my assistant moderators of my fan site Pittsburgh Steelers All The Way (Emily, Lauren, Mike, and Jason) all will agree with me if they saw the game!

CarlE,
Let's be honest. I know the Broncos will be mad coming into next Sunday's game. You saw what the men of Dennis Miller's hometown did to them last January? While I am telling you this, November 3rd will be the celebrated, ardent, real, likable, excellent, diligent, worthy, approachable, radical, dazzling, entertaining, irresistible, super, eloquent, noted, bright, ready, everlasting, invigorating birthday of Dennis Miller, who will be 53!!!!!!
But back to the game...I know the Broncos and I know Michael Edward Shanahan and he too will be mad going into this game after what happened last year in Denver...no one saw that coming. Broncos players didn't see that coming, nor did their fans and the coaching staff that includes Larry Coyer...who was Bob Commings' defensive genius at Massillon!

1. Bus retires
2. Randle-El signs with Washington as a free agent
3. Kimo signs elsewhere as a free agent.
4. Big Ben involved in crash
5. Duce Staley still out
Heck, now at 2-5 and I say screw it....lets get that great draft choice and get a shut down corner, or stud Tailback like Adrian peterson. Big Ben will be fine. I cant wait until the Browns select Troy Smith though...that will make my year...lol

The Bengals are still taking orders for their "Bandwagon". Time is getting short.
They sure are. And at reduced rates seeing as how there is so much room on that bandwagon these days since everyone has jumped off!!!

CarlE,
Nothing makes you meaner than a person who talks up hype but when their team loses, they are not willing to face it and you touched base on that after Pittsburgh's 31-17 AFC playoff win over Cincinnati last season.

You're the guy I saw at the Massillon-Warren Harding JV game, wasn't you? By the way, I ran into CHAP Saturday as well too...I still can't believe he beat my score on that game where you throw snowballs at the elves...I'd love to get some payback for that!

It's OK. I will still have my pride in rooting for the "home team", rather than jumping on a bandwagon of a team in another state.
Go Tigers!
Go Buckeyes!
Go Browns!
Go Indians!
Go Cavs!

Yup. What he said.
I have diplomas from WHS and Ohio State University. I'm proud to claim the Tigers & Buckeyes as "my" teams.
