I'm assuming that his grandfather was MIKE. (Is that correct?)

I remember Mike very well. As a junior he was a reserve fullback I recall under Houghton's coaching. When Mather began his stint at WHS, he moved Mike to an offensive tackle where he excelled and earned All-Ohio honors.

From there he went to OSU where he was converted to guard and at 202 lbs he was All-American.

Mather was a genious at putting players in the best positions, an ability that other coaches we have had seem to lack.

Another brilliant move was putting Dick Shine, a reserve back, on the line as a guard and he also made All-Ohio at that position.

Def. not a bad QB but he doesn't get set too well to deliver a pass. He throws off his back foot a lot.
