No one gives the tigers a chance against Mentor, but in 2005 everyone said that we would never beat Iggy, but we did . If enough people and players believe then this team can beat anyone. Go tigers show mentor that hardhitting football still exist in massillon.

Massillon can beat ANYONE they have the desire to!

If they play like a team and refuse to lose, nothing can stop them!

The 2005 game against St. Ed's proved that!

GO TIGERS! One word- CONFIDENCE!!!!!

Some people love to post when nothing is on the line, but disappear when it's a big game. Yes Mentor is tough. No one is invincible. Go Tigers!

What I really want to see is some of the Mentor receivers running those drag patterns across the middle to get the snot knocked out of them! When they start looking to avoid our defenders, they are not looking for the ball.

Same thing goes for their quarterback. We have got to put a HARD hit on him every chance we get. Nothing dirty, just good, clean football.

Heck, hitting is what it is all about!! Otherwise, everyone would wear dresses!

That's why we have Soccer. If you don't want to hit, go play that!!!

Sorry if my post came off as a rip on soccer as it wasn't meant to be. Soccer has it's bumping and fair share of hits, but it isn't a big part of the sport. Soccer players don't wear pads because of it. Look into things more than just taking them as rips on other sports. Soccer players are some of the best athletes around as far as cardio/speed/agility. Are soccer players 6'5 240lbs??? not usually. Unbelievable how people twist things here. I'll stick with my post about not wanting to hit going to play soccer, because soccer isn't a sport built around hitting, it's built around speed/agility/intelligence, not big hits. I'm done with that, now lets focus on BEATING MENTOR!!!!!

Pressure must be applied to Tanksi. I watched him three times last year and he appeared to be less effective when he is blitzed. He likes to run, but only when it is a design run. If he is pressured to move around when it wasn't planned he rushes his throws and there aren't blockers to follow since it wasn't a designed run. Our secondary is strong enough to send somebody from a differant direction on every play. Put him on his back side a few times and see what happens. Monte's patented 15 yarders may also do wonders.

I don't see it being a problem getting pressure on him, I just hope our DB's don't get caught looking into the backfield. Tanski is tough to bring down and his receivers never stop. If we look away for a second there will be separation and if Tanski is still up, he'll find them. I really wouldn't mind having one of our backers (Irvin) be used to spy Tanski. Everywhere he goes Dorie should go. He's plenty athletic to do it!!

LOL. On a serious note, good information in your post.

Massillon must find a way to prevent Mentor's offense from kicking into high gear. Ignatius did it for about a half, then the wheels fell off the wagon and things fell apart.

Tanski really doesn't throw any bad passes, so pressuring him is easier said than done.

Keep on eye on WR #12 Tyler Schutes (sp?) He torched Ignatius for 3 scores.

I doubt it will happen, but Massillon does not want to get into a shootout with Mentor.

Again, good luck this week.

AGREE!!! blitz, stunt, blitz, and stunt all game!!!!! However if not spyed our inside backers must stay home for Tanski's delay runs up the middle.

The 1st defensive play Tanski tried to run I would powerbomb is butt in the turf!! Set the tone for the game DEFENSE!! This is our house!!!!

MASH MENTOR!!!!!!!
