Justin is 100 times better of a QB than Boeckman yet Todd isn't getting any flack for his QB play. Zwick couldn't do anything right for OSU fans yet they approve of this?

Everybody really needs to let this go. But, I will try to give you an answer. It was a well known fact that that the team, for whatever reason, just responded better to Troy than to JZ. It could have been that they liked him better, but who knows. BUT, every single spring Troy was always taken ahead of JZ by his TEAMMATES to lead them in the Spring Game. That should have spoken volumes. The players simply wanted to be lead by Smith instead of JZ.

After the situation is over, you cannot argue the facts.

I really don't think Boeckman is getting a pass anyway. The offense looked pretty awful in the first two games, and made many mistakes in the first half of the game today. The difference is that there isn't another guy on the sidelines that can generate a bigger spark.

simple.....b/c there were many people wanting smith to start. when zwick wasn't perfect, people were on his case. boeckman doesn't have a guy like smith to compete with. if the situations were the same, but the qbs were switched, you'd have the same outcome.....people would criticize boeckman and zwick wouldn't have it as bad.

boeckman wasn't considered the second coming at tOSU. everyone has lower expectations. zwick was highly ranked and considered the savior of the OSU quarterbacking situation.

Like it or not that's true. And Boeckman is following a Heisman trophy winner. They've lost several top-notch receivers. The bar simply was not set as high this season.

When Zwick struggled there was a ton of pressure being placed by the fans because Troy Smith was the backup. How many people could even name Boeckman's backup?

Had Zwick been there now, things likely would've been different. He simply was there at the wrong time.
