..........TRESSEL CONTINUES to show empathy toward Carr and the Wolverines because of their winless start. "There's no program in the country that does it any better, or with more class, and has any better excellence over the course of history than Michigan," Tressel said. "Michigan doesn't have to worry one bit who they are." .......................

Despite all the trash talk, Ohio State fans know that we are only one part of the greatest rivalry in all of sports. Michigan being who they are is what makes our game so great.
Besides, I think both of us would agree that there's no way Notre Dame can be allowed to call themselves the winningest program of all time.

Those Domers simply don't know from whence they came. These are the facts:The University of Michigan
Winningest school in college football history (860 wins).
.746 all-time winning percentage (highest in college football).
But........we haven't won a game since Bo died but look out for Les Miles next year!! If we lose tomorrow, look for UM to win only 1-2 games. Seriously.

MTown - You are 100% correct. It sure as heck wouldn't be much fun if one of the two teams was lousy year after year. It is the greatest rivalry in all of sports and it's something I must remember when Buckeye fans are ragging on us scUM!! But, you know, since I have ties to both schools, the trash talk drives me nuts sometimes. Shoot, I stick up for Tress all the time on the Michigan boards. They are simply jealous of him 'cause they can't beat him.

I agree. Very well said.
Let's hope Miles loses in the championship game and decides to stay at LSU to prove he can win one. (I don't believe any of the last sentence I just typed.)

I'll tell you what....as much as OSU fans like to give Carr a hard time, there is a lot of trepidation about what a new coach at Michigan will do. I'm not worried as much about recruiting because Michigan has always recruited nationally....but it's my personal opinion that their players are just not being developed. Perfect case in point is Chad Henne....he is as good now as he was as a freshman.
A new coach is going to bring new life to the program in a big way, and sometimes that's all it takes.

As a Michigan fan, I have supported Carr in the past, but I think his better days are most certainly behind him. He is a loyal Michigan man, but I believe it's time for a change in Ann Arbor. Miles would be perfect in my book!

The facts and stats cannot be disputed. Michigan has been a great program. And it will only be a matter of time before they return to that level. All of the trash talk is tied in to the rivalry, and that's to be expected on both sides.

Warren1st,
I don't like to make admissions but JPT is just better than coach Lloyd Carr. Carr hasn't had success against Tressel since the 2003 season, Tressel's only low point in the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry.
