OJ Simpson was detained here in Vegas last night. He tried to steal a football and other items that were on display in a suite at Palace Station.
Don't know the details, but someone in his "posse" had a gun, ( big NO NO).
Items may have originally been his at one time. Details are still being sorted out. :wall:

DAWG: This is old news. He claims the items were his and he was conducting his own "sting" operation to get them back.

"On the most serious charge, robbery with use of a deadly weapon, could bring a sentence of three to 35 years for each count, he said. 'He is facing a lot of time,' Roger said."
Some would say it's karma.

Perhaps Orenthal, the lying, cheating, stealing, double-murdering scum-bag will FINALLY get his due. We can only hope.

CarlE,
Gee whiz, Orenthal James Simpson must be the most hated person on MassillonProud. Don't forget that I'm the only person to have the distinction of having the most "ludicrous statement in the history of MP.com," (see http://massillonproud.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3095&page=3&highlight=ludicrous)
But O.J. has been fighting legal battles for the last 13 years and it doesn't seem to be ending soon......

Orenthal is a lying, cheating double-murderer. NOTHING MORE.

CarlE,
Let's call it for what it is: California is not the state to get a conviction on a celebrity. You said it best on the old MassillonProud.com: "Only in California. God help this country."
Whether it be Orenthal James Simpson, Robert Blake, or Michael Joseph Jackson...you know the rest.
You're really hot when it comes to the 58-year-old Simpson though.

I'm going to be in Vegas next month. Jay, Brandi and I will be dealing with this ourselves. Justice WILL be served, I promise you that on Orenthal the double-murderer.

CarlE,
Happy trails on your trip to Vegas...don't forget to check out the big fights (if there are any on tap).
And just how will you carry justice against O.J.? You have to insight me on this.

Good 'ole O. J. and his homies decide to take matters into their own hands and take back his stuff- forcefully, with guns. Uh, O.J. that might fly in the hood, but everywhere else it's called armed robbery, a felony.
His defense? "I thought what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas"! This is too much, what a freakin' idiot!

I don't have satellite radio, but I'd love to hear what Howard Stern has to say about O.J.'s latest prank. Stern was hilarious during the original trial.

He shouldn't have been living a placid life of leisure. He should've been living a life as inmate number _______. Maybe the prosecution will get it right this time.

The $ 125,000 bail money should be given to the Goldman family for restitution in the civil case. I thought OJ had no money !! Look for a Las Vegas judge to have the opportunity to " right a lot of wrongs " with the whole OJ ordeal.
He ain't in LA anymore. I think a 'hotshot' judge will win the hearts of most Americans when he sends OJ up the river !!
PS. The Palace Station is kicking around the thought of making the crime scene the " OJ suite " , and available for a pretty penny !!

From AP:
"Simpson posted bond through the "You Ring We Spring Bail Bonds" company, said bondsman Miguel Pereira, who drove Simpson's relatives and girlfriend to and from the courthouse in a black SUV. Pereira said he wasn't nervous about accepting the bond, which can cost between 10 and 15 percent of the $125,000. The company is responsible for ensuring Simpson attends court hearings."
From KNBC in Los Angeles:
"Among the reporters in court were Marcia Clark, who unsuccessfully prosecuted Simpson in 1994. She's now a correspondent for "Entertainment Tonight."
