I used to do this before the redesign of the board, and have really fallen off in my posting since then, so thought I'd see if it was still of interest. I used to do all opponents as well, but I don't have time for that this week... maybe next :sunny:

Our Tigers will try to put the last two weeks behind them tonight as Youngstown Ursuline makes their 4th ever visit to Tiger stadium tonight. The tigers played a brief series with the Irish in the 70's ('72 - '74) taking two of the three contests, all held at Tiger Stadium.

This year, Ursuline comes in undefeated, though their opponents have a combined 1 win between them. They posted 59-0 and 56-0 victories over winless East Technical and East Liverpool in weeks one and two, before facing a tough game against Austintown Fitch last week, winning 21-14.

The Irish had to come from behind in that one, as they trailed Fitch 14-13 with only 4:00 remaining in the game. They started from their own 32, and punched in the game winning score and 2pt conversion with only 1:42 remaining. The defense sealed the win, as Fitch took the ball back on their own 28, and ended the possession on their own 23 4 plays later.

Ursuline largely helped Fitch to their 14 points on bad special teams play, as the Falcons scored after a muffed punt return and a blocked punt, both in the fourth quarter. The Irish outgained the Falcons 261-157, nearly all of them on the ground. The QB McQueen appears to be a runner, as had 15 carries for 83 yards in the game. The starting back (who was hurt in the final touchdown drive) had 22 touches for 132 yards and TD.

It looks as though the Tigers will face a ground oriented team tonight and will see a double threat in the RB and QB. Containment, containment, containment tonight! GO TIGERS!!!
