Monte McGuire is also rumored to be the only man to successfully block a roundhouse kick from chuck norris.

And he did this during a three legged race against 1000 relatives at a family reunion picnic. He still won the race. (A little humor this week is a good thing.)

A game vs a "Tiger Alumni" team would be fun.
Monte & Xtiger on the d-line, TC at one of the linebacker spots, I'll take one corner....
BigTime always wanted to be a kicker.
Can any of us TTT-ers play offense?? I know we can be offensive....
AND:
Keep Obiefan on the sideline (as usual -- so he doesn't get hurt) & get Tony Clifton in the broadcast booth.

I thought that they put the PB patch on after PB died which would have been after the 86 season. I got the uniform when MO was the equipment manager. I also have a black #95 that does not have the PB patch. I have them hanging at my mass/mck party that we discussed.

I think Obie Wan was referring to an instance whereby the information would not be common knowledge, i.e. a tiger player or parent knows something and comes here publicly posting about it, giving aid to the enemy.
Once general remarks are published in the Inde, it is fine to relay the information here.
(The Repository is another story, as one of their writers is suspect of printing inaccuracies.)
However, and it is a big however, if something negative is published in the Inde that is specific to a player, coach, band member, etc., we discourage the information being repeated here.
We make no bones about our purpose being for the "Positive promotion of Massillon Sports."
Oh yea...and I ain't that tough.

I don't think a lot of fans realized there were quite this much time lost to injury by significant players. No one has mentioned it the last two weeks.
We need to be healthy the next 3 weeks!!!!!!:2thumbsup:

I found this from the Inde article interesting:
“I told Chris to be ready to go, but we’re going to start Mike,” Stacy said after practice. “My philosophy is the same as it was with Shawn Weisend and Bobby Huth (in 2005 when Huth was chosen over Weisend). If you have two guys who are pretty equal, we’re going to play the younger kid. That’s why Mike’s starting. He’s had a good week of practice. He’s ready to go.”

If his philosophy is the same why did it take 5 games ( 2 scrimmages and 3 regular season) to pick a QB?

Maybe it took him that long to feel sure that they were equal.

I'm serious.
I don't think that there was an easily ascertainable consistency in level of play from either of them.
Sometimes, when the points plotted on a mental graph are greatly divergent, it takes many more of them to draw a trend line that can be counted on to have any degree of accuracy.

I guess that could have been the case, but I think the better plan would have been to let them play 2-3 series. Alternating plays won't allow anyone to "get the hot hand."
It also seems hard to believe that after all the summer workouts, practices, scrimmages, etc. that one of the wouldn't emerge as even slightly better.
