I just read a post saying that the Normandy fans and players accosted Massillon fans. I am from Normandy, was on the field and would like to personally put this to rest. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. That is a joke, who would allow that. No Normandy player touched a Massillon majorette, no one called anyone a whore, the only thing was the over-rated chant. This tarnishes the reputation of the Normandy fans and players. It was a lie perpatrated by a Massillon fan who was upset at the loss. Please do not give this post any weight

I wasn't in the state last Saturday and obviously didn't witness anything myself, but I heard from two different people - neither of whom are prone to exaggeration and both would be quick to call someone out for making a mountain out of a mole hill - that the Normandy fans were "unbelievably rude" - particularly to the band. Now, likely it was a handful of people making the rest of the Normandy supporters look bad - that kind of thing happens to virtually every program - but I believe it still happened.

I posted the original thread stating what had taken place but the majorette involved is not my daughter. If it had been, I would've been in Parma at about 7am Monday morning!

I do know that it is being handled by both her father and Massillon, as it should be.

No one wants to think or hear about their school/fans/athletes behaving in an unsportsmanlike manner but we all know it happens everywhere. And it DID happen, BurningRiver.

Very true. I have seen plenty of our own fans act like idiots and embarass the school both online and in their actions at games as well, so we are not innocent either.

Warren was definitely one I was thinking of, along with McK. I have been treated the worst at both of those places.
