Denver Tiger,
You are a BRONCO! Your team was better than Cleveland in the 80's! You are 3-0 against them in AFC championship games (86' 87' and 89') but 1-1 against my Pittsburgh Steelers (I though wanted to see John Albert Elway win a Super Bowl title which he did but I didn't want him to go through my Steelers in 97'...a loss avenged in the 2005 AFC title game)!

It's OK. I'm not going to cheer for the "flavor of the month team." Where are those people who used to wear UNLV basketball and Miami Hurricanes football gear? Oh that's right. They're now wearing USC and Florida stuff. Whatever.
Go Tigers!
Go Indians!
Go Browns!
Go Cavs!
Go Buckeyes!

Took the words out of my mouth!!! Bring it on all you haters!!! TRUE fans love their teams no matter what. It's hard some times, but we never give up on them or pick a gold and black team to root for instead, (sorry Dawg)!!!
All you FRONTRUNNERS out there can keep talkin your stuff........ your next favorite team is just a 2-14 season away!!!!!

I know that Spize is a Bengal fan. Why are you people Browns fans instead of Bengal fans ??
Is it OK to be a Bengal fan ??
Just checking.

Cleveland = 1 hour away, Cinci = 4 hours away. I'm sure in Tigertown, Paul Brown has something to do with the Bengals thing. If I were to guess, I'd say that Stark County is dominated by Browns fans, followed by the Steelers, then Bengals fans. To answer the question "is it OK to be a Bengals fan?". Just barely.

people generally root for the closest team. hence, i'm sure most people growing up around pittsburg root for the steelers. most people growing up around cleveland root for the browns. i think the better question would be why people in NEO root for cincy.

if cleveland would have drafted peterson his line would have looked like this:
16 att for 22 yards
2 rec 8 yards.

monte81,
The Browns offensive line is about as silky as a pillow. Face it, the Steelers have their number, no question about it!
Oh...and Daven Holly got knocked out of the game by Hines Ward on a bone-breaking, bone-rattling hit! The kind of football Pittsburgh prides themselves on!!
Charlie Frye got sent to that dominating, awesome, worthy, great, heated, appealing, tough, excellent, radical frying pan!
Pittsburgh played with that flawless intensity expected and now lead the series 56-55! I hate to say it but the Browns got themselves a mighty, awesome, stellar, super, intense, locked, loaded, overpowering, nasty beatdown!
We'll see them nasty mutts in November :puke: ! And we'll take em' to the Dog Pound again! And again! And again! And again!! And make it nine in a row!!!!!!

How can any true tiger fan root for the browns after moddell ran Paul Brown out of town. If it wasn't for Paul Brown there would be no Cleveland browns period!

There is no more Moddell, that is all over with. I understand where you are coming from. But, Cleveland is a whole lot closer than Cincinnati. Relax.

surely a person from massillon has to be torn between rooting for the browns and rooting for the bengals...
each has a special spot in NFL history thanks to OUR PAUL BROWN, the greatest coach ever!!! both in high school and in the NFL...
the Browns were named after him
after he was fired by good ole Artie...he went south to cincy and started the bengals...his desire had always been to take the intensity of Massillon Tiger football to the NFL...the bengals seem to be a piece of Tigerville...their colors...their name...their mascot...and early on the success of being a TIGER...
prior to art moving the browns...
i was always torn when the browns and bengals played each other...but a greater part of me rooted for the bengals...because of that piece of Tigerness...
the browns just haven't been the same since...too much garbage associated with them...now they basically get the pity vote...
they took over the position in the nfl that the bengals held throughout the 90s...
which makes it all the sadder that the bengals lost to the browns...that was just down right pathetic!!!

I wasn't alive then. The Browns I grew up cheering for were "my Browns." I had plenty of time to find out about that snake Art Modell, thus my distaste for the Ravens. I groan every time I hear Matt Stover's name.

Why do you feel sorry for Browns fans? Maybe the Frontrunner Nation that you are a part of doesn't get it. We are fans through thick and thin. Win or Lose. Loyal regardless of record. Live and die with our teams, because that's what real fans do.
We don't decide that our team sucks so we go out and pick another team to root for, like ALL of the Pittspuke fans from NE Ohio. When our team(s) suck, we stay with them, as painful as it may be, because they are our team!!
It's the Frontrunner Nation that I feel sorry for. Constantly changing teams, always latching on to a winner, or maybe staying with a team that they came to like while they were winners. They have no loyalty. Man your uniform and fan gear expense must be out of sight!!!!
Wait, don't tell me...... You have a Indiannapolis jersey this year, but somewhere there's a Pittsuck jersey hanging in your closet right????

Why don't you like the Pirates? Don't they play with Pittsburgh blood? Isn't that Dennis Miller's hometown? I have yet to see a local Steeler fan answer this question. It's because the answer is apparent.
