I just wanted to tell you guys about my cousin, Chef David Myers' new TV show. He has been a guest on Good Morning America, Iron Chef America, The Today Show and CNN. He was honored with Food & Wine Magazine's 'Best New Chef of 2003,' and Angeleno Magazine voted him 'Chef of the Year' 2004.'

He is the head chef and owner of Sona (Los Angeles), Boule' (Los Angeles), Sokyo (Los Angeles) and is in the process of opening a new restaurant in Tokyo.

Anyways, he has a brand new TV show on The Fine Living Channel, called "Shopping With Chefs". The description of the show from The Fine Living Channel's site:

"This is your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see what the chefs buy, up close and personal! Now you can cook like a pro and impress your family and friends. From cool colanders to finding fresh food, this show gives you the expert advice that you’ve always wanted. Because if you shop smarter, you’ll cook better."

I just wanted to tell those of you who enjoy stuff like The Food Network to tune in and watch, because you'll probably enjoy this show as well if you like food and like to cook. I've watched 3 episodes so far, and I found it pretty entertaining. OK, so I'm probably a little biased, but.....

In any case, you can click the link below for The Fine Living Channel's site guide and air times for David's new show if you'd like to check it out. Also, he has some episodes coming up this fall on The Food Network as well, which I will post as I find out about them more.

Thanks, MTigers. Although, David grew up in Jackson until after high school and then lived in Cincinnati, where a large part of his mom's side of the family is from.

No matter where he's from though, I'm very proud of all he has accomplished. It's amazing that he has done all he has and is only 34 years old. But that's what happens when you work hard and have goals and don't stray away from them.

Thanks, MTigers. He doesn't have pizza on his menu, but if he did, I'm pretty sure they'd be fantastic!

We're possibly heading out to San Diego around Thanksgiving to visit our grandson and if so, we are going to head to Los Angeles so we can eat at his restaurant. Of course, judging from the prices, I'd better start saving up now!
