If this holds true, this would explain why WHS-TV will not be able to carry the game.

I sure hope it's on here in Columbus. I have a family member who wants to go, but can't. I tuned in to see the Buchtel-Fitch game last week and, although the cable company here had it on their schedule (and the Columbus Dispatch publicized the games before the season), we were treated to a scintillating "History of UNLV basketball" and an action-packed poker match.

I've emailed Fox Ohio with my displeasure.

Here's the official release. The night cap is going to be hurt by the OSU-Texas game so the Massillon game should get a nice crowd - Beat Moeller:

CLEVELAND – FSN Ohio announced today plans to televise the third annual i-wireless Prep Classic on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Paul Brown Stadium. Steve Liverani, Vice President and General Manager, FSN Ohio made the announcement.

The September showcase will include eight high school football programs as part of a four-game card that features six playoff teams from last season and another Cincinnati Public School contest. The schedule reads like a “Who’s Who” of Ohio and Kentucky high school football, with Ohio Division I state champion Cincinnati St. Xavier, Ohio Division I state runner-up Massillon Washington, Ohio Division I state semifinalist Cleveland Lakewood St. Edward, Cincinnati Moeller, Kentucky Class 4A runner-up Louisville St. Xavier, Kentucky regional finalist Fort Thomas Highlands and Cincinnati Taft and Cincinnati Withrow.

FSN Ohio has named its telecast teams for the i-wireless Prep Classic on Saturday, September 9. The line-up is as follows:
10:00 am – Taft vs. Withrow (Dan Hoard, play-by-play/Jeff Piecoro, color analyst)
1:00 pm – Highlands vs. Louisville St. Xavier (Dan Hoard, play-by-play/Greg Frey, color analyst)
4:00 pm – Moeller vs. Massillon Washington (Michael Reghi, play-by-play/Greg Frey, color analyst)

Not that it matters to me, but is this exclusive to Time Warner only? My wife can't go, but I'd like to know if she will be able to tune in on MCTV or not?

It shows up on the on-screen program guide on MCTV. Also appears in the TV listings for MCTV on tv.yahoo.com.

I was reading this thinking, we have the top three Division 1 Finalist from last years state tournament and they have a bunch of "playoff teams" from down there. Although most of us aren't playing each other, I'd like to see a more comparative pairing for next year or the near future. I know scheduling plays a large part in who gets in and nobody can predict who's going to win, come in second and so on. Just something that would be cool to see.

I agree. I've always liked his calls on games. I can hear it now:

"Watch out for Flight #26!"

"A host of Tiger helpers on the tackle!"

"Huth sweet slingin' in the pocket."

"Dailey bringing the pain!"

"Schott was bringing rain on that kick."
