You know, I don't normally do something like this but because I am in a great mood this week, I am going to let the MassillonProud.com family pick out my suit for this week's game.

The suits I am looking at are as follows:

My brown three-piece,
My blue pinstriped three-piece,
My all black-suit
My black and gold suit

I'll be looking on and whatever you all think I should wear...I'll wear what you all think is best!

OK my man Mr. Business Fashion Guy is here to help, my friend. First, I want the blue pinstripe. BUT, ditch the vest my friend. You're not going to a board meeting at Bank of America. You are going to a football game. Second, either a white or light-blue shirt. And a very important point. LONG-SLEEVED. Don't EVER, EVER be caught freaking dead in a short-sleeve dress shirt with a suit. Trashy. MAJOR fashion blunder. Now for the tie. I like a little contrast here so go for something in the blue and gold stripe theme, or some gold with blue design. Always works for me. Black belt and black shoes. SHINED. Your belt should ALWAYS match your shoes. One of the first things I notice. I love making idiots that don't match belt and shoes look stupid. Finally, a pair of subtle, blue design socks. That, my friend, is my fashion tip of the week. Please feel free to post comments. Do not BOTHER posting contradictions. You will be wrong and made to look foolish.

Class dismissed.

CarlE,

Interesting viewpoints by the man himself! Have we any comers other than the man himself!!

P.S. Making others look stupid is something CarlE,...you have some experience in doing interviews I take it. You'll have to insight me on those!

One thing I forgot. Do not, I repeat DO NOT, wear a button-down collar shirt with a suit. I'll come up there and slap you for that.

Go with the blue pinstriped suit. It would look great with an Appalachian State tie.

Keno,

What suit are you going to wear to Lloyd Carr's resignation press conference at the end of the year? Better start thinking about that one now.

Don't forget a t-shirt. Nothing is more disturbing than to see someone with a nice suit and tie and a hairy chest bulging through his dress shirt:thumbsdown:

Good point. I hate it when you see a guy wearing a nice suit and dress shirt and then you happen to notice chest hair popping out or the outline of nipples. There's nothing tackier than that.

And while we're at it, how about a pocket square maybe? Too much?

Carl: You had to tell him to match the shoes with the belt, which I thought was a no-brainer. So, I didn't want anything over-looked.

It's even worse on a woman.

If she's got the hair, the nipples don't matter.

Somehow I knew I shouldn't have mentioned visible nipples...lol

And Carle, I know it's Keno and it's a football game, but being as he wears 3-piece suits to high school sporting events to begin with, I figured that a pocket square would be appropriate given this particular situation.

Or, if you think the pocket square is a little over the top, he could go with the look below. And who knows? That walking stick might come in handy. He could use it to poke other sports writers in the tush to make them get out of his way when he's trying to get an interview with a coach or a key player. :drinkem:

PurpleArmy,

If I wore that...CarlE would slap the crap out of me for that! Someone talked about wearing alligator shoes to an interview and I know how that turned out!

I think so too, but I believe his assignment this week is to cover the Lake/McK game. He's writing for The Suburbanite, which goes out in Green and Lake/Hartville, so they probably will have him going to the lake and Green games I would think.

The blue pinstripe suit is a go tonight!

Speaking of which PurpleArmy...I specialize in just Lake football.

The blue pinstriped suit won going away, wire-to-wire. The black and gold suit had one selector. There were none for the brown suit and the black suit.
