With gas prices falling significantly, there is no reason NOT to make the trip to Cincinnati and support your Tigers! Also, buy your tickets here. Michelle (Massillon ticket office) says that plently of tickets remain. You get a $3 break on purchasing pre-sale.

Tiger nation it's time to take the show on the road! MOELLER, YOU'RE UP NEXT!

GO TIGERS! IT'S WEEK 3 AND IT'S ON! :trophy:

no doubt...we have a group of 10 of us going down...staying overnight...the way the hotels are looking with them being filled I am hoping that we have a better crowd then last year....even though we had a nice amount last year...and god knows that was a great time....the fans that did go were intense and ready.....I had no voice that entire weekend...

Thank God the heat is gone and we won't be baked like a roast in an oven. I'm looking forward to a cool breeze and a coat for the game.

You make a solid argument. Stark's gas prices are "lowest in the U.S."

Those who went last year need to bring that same intensity this year....it was awesome. If you didn't go last year, you need to make up for it this year by bringing some emotion. It's Moeller, what else do you need?

I'm not going down there to lose. I want to kick some BUTT!

I just talked to a former Massillon Tiger who lives in Cincinnati and he said that this is the biggest game on their schedule as they have so many tough games ahead. They feel that they must win this game,so they are going to give us their best shot. The Tigers must stay focused and bring their A game as this will be the best team we have played this year,so far. GO TIGERS BEAT MOELLER

Motion Nightlife...

http://maps.google.com/maps?oi=map&q=700+W+Pete+Rose+Way,+Cincinnati,+OH

Quote from aol citiguide...If your ideal Saturday night is a quiet dinner, maybe even Chinese carryout and a DVD, then run away from Motion Nightlife. This hi-energy, no-holds barred dance club packs in the college-age crowd with the partying attitude. Think frat party meets Maxim meets wet t-shirt-contest, add in a soundtrack of anything upbeat you can dance to, and you’ve defined a Saturday night at Motion's. Sure, there are billiards, even a couple of tables where you can chat with friends, but make no mistake: Motion's is all about drinking, dancing (even in cages) and being seen. Expect scantily clad babes outnumbering the guys early on many of the nights (except for those wet T-shirt parties), but don't worry, girls, the guys wise up eventually and sniff you out before the party ends in the wee hours of the morning. High energy, barely legal and always a party. -- Annie McManis (Photo: Terry Brueneman) :cool2:

o'malley's is literally a 5 minute walk from the stadium.

tigersave77 - the german place you went to was probably the hofbrauhaus. for those of you who are staying multiple nights i'd recommend going there.

there's also a bar called 'champs' which is about a 5 minute walk from the stadium. last year that place was filled with tiger fans since it's connected to a hotel.

BTW - the BEST part of last year was in the second half when the stadium played 'eye of the tiger.' our fans were rockin' after that.

Ok, O’Malley’s great…..got it…. :offtopic:

Now to get this thread back on track. Our kids will do a tremendous job representing the City of Massillon Saturday afternoon. I expect a BigTime showing from the Tiger Nation in support of them for this game!

If the day's events unfold anything like last year's tilt vs. Elder, we are in for a REAL treat. So the heck with the broadcasts/ web casts. Set your DVR and get your (self) to Cincinnati!

Go Tigers! Make it 3-0 with 12 to go! CRUSH THE CRUSADERS!

There is already a seperate thread on that topic. Click here http://www.massillonproud.com/forum/showthread.php?t=617

The purpose of THIS thread is to push the undecided into making the sojourn to the "nati" and support the kids. :cool2:

If your car gets 30 miles/gallon, the difference between $2 gas and $3 gas is $15 for the trip to Cincinnati. Compared with the prospect of 8 hours in a car, parking, food, games tickets, and (maybe) a hotel room, I don't see gas prices being an obstacle.

Gas prices do affect people's willingness to travel. 30 miles/ gallon? Most people have fuel sippers?

Also, I would suppose that there would be a healthy dose of down-and-backs on Saturday so no hotel.

BTW my man, when has logic ever stood in the way of most people's decision making?

These are the folks that are 3 deep at the pumps, ready to have a stroke, when a station sits across the street selling gas for one cent higher. The eighteen cents I could have saved by waiting is not worth it.

As you guys pointed out, logic has little or nothing to do with it. Some people will wait in line for 20 minutes to save .10/gallon on a half tank of gas.

May I jump in here my friends and point out that this is another example of why I THANK GOD we live in a republic rather than a democracy.

Can you imagine what our country would be like if these wackos actually had a hand in making decisions?

I also thank God that most of them don't vote.

gas isn't the only issue when it comes to decision making concerning trips like this one...

there is the cost of

tickets (for a family of four) 4 x 12= 48

food 3(4x7.50)=120

rooms if one stays 50.00 (cheepy place like red roof, which isn't bad...they have great beds...and if all you are going to do is sleep...what more does one need?)

miscellaneous stuff (pop, snacks) 25

just the bare minimum comes to about $250

quite a difference from the normal friday night when the tickets are already bought because you have season tickets...and so, all it costs is a pop or two...

plus at this time of year, there are all the beginning of the year school fees as well as outfitting the little kiddies in their school finery

so, some additional thought does have to come into consideration...even when one is the most rabid tiger fan...
