I was wondering if anyone has a MCK - Tulsa score.

I was at Fawcett, things are way behind schedule. Glenville game wasn't even over until around 6:00. The dreaded TV timeouts are killing everything.

WOW! I thought Moeller had that game under control.

Sounds like they gave the game away. They had their ball on their 20 and punted it out of bounds at the 20, allowing MV to bring the score to 22-20 and Moeller lost momentum.

Dang, I am glad you guys posted about the time delays, the "boys" set off hours ago to catch the games starting with the Glenville one. And of course, I have not been able to get any updates as I noticed a cell phone still plugged into its charger:jestera: So thanks for the updates everyone.

I don't care if they are an Ohio team or not, whether it's right or not, I cannot bring myself to cheer for a Mck team, ever! Call it a genetic defect or just plain wrong as some other poster would label me.

As far as Ohio teams doing good, not so:

Moeller, Glenville, and Grove City all lost. And I don't even know which was the Ohio team in the La Salle vs Cathedral game lol , anyone care to clue me in on that one?

Ohio is 3-5 going into today.

There have been some pretty good games this year. Moeller had their game won before a bad punt changed momentum.

La Salle loses 7-6 to Cathedral
Elder beats Independence 41-34 in OT
Grove City loses to Buford, Ga. 34-7
McKinley loses to Union 31-0
Glenville loses Long Beach Poly to 21-13
Colerain beats Hoover 20-17 in OT
Money beats Gateway 27-6
Moeller loses to Mission Viejo 26-22

Hoover's coach is an absolute bonehead. They intercept a pass and bring the ball down to around the 5 yard line with 1 timeout, I believe. On third down they go for it and run the ball...they don't get the TD and time runs out. If they kick a FG, they win the game. The coach wasn't comfortable kicking from the right hash with a young kicker and wanted the ball in the middle of the field. If he was going to go for it, I would have at least thrown a pass then called a quick TO and just made an attempt at the FG anyway. What did he have to lose kicking a fg with time about to expire?

St. X is looking really good on offense.

The score is St. X 14 DeMatha 7 at the half. St. X is playing much better, imo. DeMatha only had the one drive for a TD after St. X fumbled the punt.

Without their star RB Darius Ashley.

austinsm11
09-02-2007, 04:12 PM
I was very impressed with St. X. A big win and as MC pointed out, without Ashley. They will be tough this year.

It did seem like they may need a bit more conditioning. They were cramping up and wearing out the start of the second half much more than DeMatha. I guess when you have 130 players conditioning isn't as important as it is for teams that only have 60-70 players.
