well it was not a happy welcome home, watching the Tigers lose..... MrsTigger and I made the trip in for my brothers birthday treating him to the game... Effort seems to have been there but like I was telling one of the freshmen team members who was surprised by their Thursday night win to a team that used to beat them often, execution is the key, and we really did not have that on the line. I had Jon Cooper flashbacks watching the rotating qb's, I don't think I have ever seen that be successful. Oh well, live and learn, and hopefully everyone can learn from this. If nothing else, learn that if arent prepared, then anything can happen. Not the end of the world, sometimes you learn more in defeat than in a win. So maybe, the coaches, the players, and the fans will learn more about this team from this loss than we did from their week one win.

We should have at least in overtime. We can't score from 4 shots inside the 4 yard line. Why was'nt a bootleg or pass attempted down there. The tigers blew too many chances on winning the game. Where was the blocking last nite? What good is haveing good backs if there is no holes there to run threw. The defensive played above and beyond in fact they played good enough to win. The goal line stand at the end showed that the defense had their pride on the line.

Mistakes and missed opportunities will provide the coaching tools that have allowed the Tigers to improve as the season progresses under Coach Stacy during his short tenure in Massillon. Personally, I'll take that course of action any day over some of our recent history where the team sprints out to a 4-0 start, then stumbles through the end of season trying to hold it together, generally without success by losing to McK and missing the playoffs. The trick here is to be better in Week 7 than you are in Week 2, peak against the Bulldogs and be ready to advance through the playoffs. Undefeated is great and was a must in the days of Earl Bruce. Today, your odds are better by improving each week and making it to the dance. Hang in there, Coach. We support what you are doing.
