The more fans THEY bring is to OUR benefit. More fans eat more hot dogs, drink more Coke & coffee, buy more programs, souveniers, & 50/50 tickets; and that's more money in OUR bank!!

THIS is the reason certain other teams (cough... St Ed... cough....) is not still on our schedule. They didn't bring enough fans to the game!!

They ain't coming unless they think they can win. Solon will bring alot of fans but it won't be 7000. You are likely to see Bob Golic. He has a kid that's 12 and goes about 5'10 180 and lives in Solon. He's a helluva baseball player and goes by the name big pappy!

I didn't say that they would win, just that the only reason they scheduled us was because they thought they could. Just like Chardon and Dover.

Actually Massillon and Solon got together because both teams were supposed to play in the Herbie but as we all know there was a point where nobody knew what was going on. The Coaches got together and said let's play each other so we arent stuck with an open date if the Herbie would have folded. So no Solon didnt search us out knowing they had some great class this year, it is just a 1 year deal.

Look, Solon wasn't going to play some chump in the Herbie. They knew damn well they had a good team coming back. Otherwise, they wouldn't have even been looking at the Herbie, then Massillon.

Ask Coach if you dont believe it, Solon and Massillon were both scheduled to be in the Herbie, both left when there was nothing positive coming out of it and both got together to schedule each other. This Solon team isnt like a few of the teams they had in the last 6 or 7 years we will see that tomorrow night.

I expect them to bring a few thousand (although 7 thousand is likely a stretch). A good income for the program.

I would think they would bring quite a few. It really isn't that far away, it's a pretty easy trip from Solon. It takes me about 35 minutes to get to Solon and about 1 hour and 16 minutes to get to Massillon. I'm actually suprised we haven't played them more, they usually have a few openings

Most teams pick their poison, especially if they schedule Massillon. Some do it to fill their coffers and some do it when they feel that they have a legitimate chance to win the game.

That is great if they are going to bring 7000. (I doubt that many). I love it when Paul Brown Tiger Stadium is rocking. LETS MAKE SOME NOISE!!!!!

If you think about it, other than the regulars on our schedule... who doesn't schedule us unless they think they can take a shot at us.

I just hope they bring their band . It’s been said that Jackson didn’t take their’s to Westerville and, of course Middletown for obvious reasons. It sure doesn’t seem the same without both bands.

Oh…and GO TIGERS -- So long SOLON!!!

Just to clear the air with the Herbie: We were going to play Valdosta, GA but after they went 1-9 last year they backed out. Then we were going to play Jordan (Utah) but they couldn't get out of their contract with, guess who, Valdosta. After waiting for someone who was willing to play the Mighty Massillon Tigers for too long, we needed a game. :wall: Obviously no one wanted to play us after we put the whoopin on the AZ state champions Hamiliton last year.

Solon better put their "Big Boy Pants" on when they come into our house tonight to face the Tigers!!! There aren't many teams who want to face the Tigers... personally, I like it that way :2thumbsup:

Take it to 'em Tigers!!

They requested under 750.

Do you think that was a typo when the poster put "7000"? It had to be. By my guesstimation their attendance looked to be in the neighborhood of around 1500.

If that is the case they bought tickets the day of the game.

For the opener we had less than 8,000
I am not sure we had that many this time.
