I live out of state and was wondering........Is there anybody out there who can record the Band at half time? If so, can you put it on youtube so those of us who are not able to be at the game enjoy them. Just a question. Would anyone else like to see this?

Good luck with that bigwahoo, i've posted that very same question a few times in a few places on this site and have gotten absolutely no response, I'd love to see them too, i was in the band for 4 years, owell i guess

I appreciate the request but what you are asking is a large undertaking. There are lots of pictures over at www.tigerswingband.com from each game. Jim probably catches a break during the half time show cause photograping and taping these events is tiring. It's like you are in the huddle on every play.

Not to mention the time it would take and expense to get it online.

ONE OTHER NOTE: I would recommend buying Jim's DVD at the end of the season. He captures of lot of what you want. It's a great way to remember the season!

Do they or can they broadcast just the band playing at halftime on the live feed over the computer? Then those people not at the game can at least hear them. (Or maybe this isn’t feasible).

They have many CDs and DVDs at the bands store under the home stands. Perhaps someone can something up that he can purchase them through the site or an individual?

I wish I could ! I live in wooster though and usually work weekends, I'd love to see the band though, I played in the mtsb for 4 years and miss it!, maybe a generous massillon tiger swing band fan could tape some shows for us????

Maybe this needs explained a little more. It's not the taping that's the problem. It's the post production. It takes too long. Also, the bandwith cost money. Video is expensive to push via websites.

Anyone could do this on their own, post it to YOUTUBE and I would glady link to it.

Do you get the replays in Wooster like we do in Massillon? Wasn't sure since it's owned by Massillon Cable...

We have satellite tv here, i'm pretty sure there's nowhere to watch on there. I just thought maybe a fan could tape a halftime or pregame and post it online for us. I was talking about the swing bands website in my earlier post. Not a big deal, great links by the way!

I was trying to tell you that I am the Swing Band webmaster... I posted the information about YouTube in hopes that someone would step up. I just can't do it week in and week out. Any takers?

Its not really that difficult. All one needs is a camcorder,CV Cable and Firewire. I could do it but at the time being I dont have the CV Cable or Firewire PCI Card or Bay. I plan on purchasing them in the very near future though provided no other expences come up.

I have a digital camera that I can record video on and send the video to my computer just using the usb cord and upload from there, I guess it's maybe more technical than that?

no...its not. You can put that on youtube. The quality wont be as good as the method previously mentioned but you can do it with your digital camera and a USB cable....
