Looks like Brian will be lining up at WR this year instead of Safety or CB...Joe Morgan from McKinley will likely start at WR, and Antonio James should see significant playing time on the D-line.

I believe that Shepas had him at WR, before Stacy moved him to TB. I think he could play at any of the positions, WR, CB, or Safety in college. Although, I think he would be better on defense in college, IMO.

I am also happy that we have more tigers playing DI football. 2 TD's in the scrimmage is telling me that BG is fighting for some playing time at Illinois. I knew he had the heart and ability to compete at the Big Ten level. Alot of traveling in store for me the next few years--UM, Illinois, and UT!!

BTW--- Darion is fighting for the #2 safety spot for Toledo and most likely will not redshirt. He lead the team with takeaways with 5 during 2adays! A. Scassa is performing well at linebacker but may need a year to put on some weight for his position.

E-mail from the graduate assisitant at UT who is from McKinley:(He lets me about Harriel Moore because thats my wifes nepfew)

As of today, Harriel wasnt at practice because of Clearinghouse Issues. Hes losing reps and the revolving door of D1 athletics is closing in. I hope he does what is needed, because the more Im here, sometimes, the more I miss McK. There are minimal differences at times between a D1 Major High School program and a Mid Major D1 Collegiate program. Monte, Darion is still doing alright. He continues to dress, get reps, and learn as he goes. Hes definately ready to travel and back up on some special teams. Harriel may continue to get reps and hopefully he'll travel, but right now, it seems that Monte's bro, Darion McGuire may be the closest Stark County player to see any action at the U of T.
Go Rockets!

BTW----Anyone have any updates on Saunders, Daily or any other Massillon player who is in college playing ball? we should have a continious thread dedicated to the tigers playing i college at any sport for all to keep updated!!

In a passing offense, Gamble fits best at receiver. In a running offense, he is better suited for running back, although if you think about it, he did most of his damage from the slot, where Shep had him.
Alot of posters made a huge deal when Stacy moved BG to running back. Was it really a hard decision to do that? You put your best player where he can do the most damage. For Shep, that was at receiver. For Stacy, it was at running back.

By the way, word has it that BG will start at the nickel back in Illinois nickel package. I guess he blew up a running play and the varsity was pi--ed, so they ran it again and he blew it up again. Zook went crazy, happy crazy that is.

There's no doubt he can play wherever they decide to put him!
