He knew he was cooked. He would've fared much worse had he not accepted the deal.

They say the max penalty is 5 years in prison, but likely, he won't have to serve that many. One thing is (hopefully) for sure, and that is that he is likely to not see another down in the NFL..except on TV....let's hope anyway.

The dude was looking at many many many years in prison. He did the only option anyone dumb enough to commit the crimes he did to save his butt. He was looking at 5 yrs for each dog (40yrs), plus every other charge (which was going to be another 40) and the FBI was going to file more charges if he didn't take the plea agreement. The man took the easy way out and the way that would take him back to football the fastest. Albeit, it might be the Canadian Football League, but he was saving his ass. Let's all move past this horrific display and bid good riddance.

I have been anti-vick since day one. First becaus of the hype, then because of his behavior.
I hope they lock him up with inmates who love animals.

I listened to a former player turned announcer on ESPN this morning who said this is a shame because Vick could have been the "BEST QB EVER"
Are you freaking kidding me??? This guy never learned how to be a QB. Correct me if I'm wrong..........isn't a QB supposed to be a leader, to develop himself, and his game to a point that best suits the TEAM..... not himself??
To make this statement is a joke, and a slam to players like Unitas.......Baugh........Montana......Moon....... ...Marino.......Kosar.....(OK maybe I went just a little overboard!!)
Lots of guys who put the team first, and led them to glory. This guy does not belong in the same breath as the legends of the game.

i think the feds should prosecute that former player for being such an idiot.
he's not entirely wrong, though.....
vick COULD have been the best ever.
couch COULD have been the best ever.
frye or quinn COULD turn out to be the best ever.
i COULD give up cold beers for good.
.....but none of that will ever happen.
