Man, I'm torn on this one! Some of my neighbor kids play for the Grizzlies, but I am a Tiger forever. Maybe I'll just go a sit in the end zone.:help2:

Well, after last year, when the Grizzly freshman ate our lunch, I had to eat crow for a while. By the way, watch out for Big Time. He is also a Grizzly! LOL!

Everyone has to eat a little crow now and then if they are any kind of sports fan. Just look at good old CarlE and his beloved Devil Rays:jestera:
Last year was a team with a lot of academic and eligibility problems. Hopefully this new team, although still developing, will fair much better this year.:TIG2:

Congratulations Freshmen for starting off the season with a nice W:rockon: There were a few mistakes here and there, but overall things went pretty darn well. Especially if you factor in the horrible heat conditions.
TC, were you there? I didn't see anyone sitting in the endzones:blah:

Sorry, I couldn't make it last night. With the heat and humidity, I had to go home and rescue the wife from the kids before she either killed them or run away from home! Congrats to the Tiger Frosh, I still like to maintain my Tiger stance in Wadsworth.

freshmen looked really good. i don't know all of the players names yet, but i can tell you there are some future stars playing on this squad. A few that stick out are Maddox (#36) hard nosed hitter, #42 (Roby?), # 19 (Green?), #31 (RB) big tall kid who glides across the field.
i can't wait to get out and see these kids play again.
Congratulations Coach Menches and the Freshman Tigers!

Good to hear someone commenting that saw the game, and thank you. #36 Clayton Mattox, #42 Aaron Robey = dubbed "hitting machine" by many last night, #19 Darren Green, #31 Seth Nahlbach all had an outstanding game. Add to that #32 Jake Reiman, #34 Jacar Roberson, #91 Tim Busson, along with a very nice catch by #82 Colin Pedro! Like I said before, this is nothing like last year's team.

Don't knock Wadsworth. Their freshmen hung a big one on us last year or the year before.

It was last year. Finally score was 6 - 28. They looked alot better than last year's team. Last year Wadsworth brought alot more fans too.

LOTS of talented kids on this team. Mattox, Robey, Reiman and the other kids on defense made some big plays and looked to be pretty disciplined in their assignments. These kids were taught well in midget, and at MMS and they are continuing to grow. This class has a lot of potential!!!
There are kids who were impact players at MMS who didn't play much at all, so this yeam must be pretty deep.

I agree...........
I have seen both scrimmages and the game against Wadsworth and they are very talented. A lot of kids are playing different positions than last year and it will take time for them to "gell". They have excellent size and the linebackers can hit with the best of them. The quarterback Justin Olack is tall and has excellent mechanics on the boot passes.
They have a tough schedule coming up: At Mentor Saturday Sept. 22 and then at Ignatious 5 days later on Thursday Sept. 27.:help2:

An especially great job by Tyler Allman WR, and RB's Jake Reiman and Jacar Roberson; some very fast and tough kids. Great job by the Oline for opening up some nice holes for them also:2thumbsup:

Agree Kamd50 - the frosh looked good - on both sides of the ball. The oline did one heck of job, we ran the ball "at will".

Good job Freshman!! Sounds like we have a good base to keep the program strong in the future. I hear this Robey kid at LB is a beast. People say he reminds them of Monte McGuire!

Massillon loses 22-14, Hoban scores with 1 minute to go after a Tiger fumble on Hoban's 2 yard line.
Massillon forced a punt butfumbled the return and Hoban scores the winning TD.
Tough loss against a tough Hoban team.
