I wouldn't give McKinley one freaking cent of my money if they weren't playing Massillon. Sorry, there BigVan, nothing personal. You're a good guy.

When Mck played Iggy & Warren, I would go to those games when not on the same night. Now, I don't care to see 2 Fed teams play. I'd rather go to BW's and play Golden Tee

I used to go to alot of mckinley games to check out the competition before they joined the fed. Now why bother??

I used to go to many other games. Due to my busy schedule, it's primarily limited to Tiger games now during the regular season. I do try to see as many playoff games as possible.

i`d rather mow the yard then run to the store for the old lady and ask the clerk for tampex than watch 2 fed teams play!!!!!!!!!

In our household, between splitting our time between Jackson and Massillon games, we don't have much time to go watch anyone else. However, we try to catch one or two of Green's games if possible, as it's my hubby's alma mater.

Not to worry, pal....I have posted quite a few posts over there today as well- more than I have over here today. I just had some extra time to burn, so I thought I'd visit you lovely Massillon folk for a bit.

It's hilarious to me how easily riled up some people get over something as miniscule as me posting on this site.

I know Jackson's and Massillon's. My grandfather used to take us to Massillon games and taught us the words to his alma mater so we could sing it at games. It's longer than most alma maters, but I like it a lot.

Me too!! I went to Massillon games with my Dad when I was about five and learned the alma mater. Can't remember the words to my hs alma mater and don't want too. I sometimes get the tune of the Mckinley alma mater in my head and its torture.

I usually have my schedule planned out before the season starts, 1 game each friday, and 1 each saturday. Always a good slate of games to :rockin: choose from!

personally i would watch HS football anywhere given the chance, regardless of the teams. I usually end up watching National games on the TV as well as the local games that are played.

One thing people never knew about me is that when I am not in a suit and tie, that is when I cheer for Canton McKinley, my alma mater. But once I am in a suit and tie and have a notepad and paper, that is when it's time for me to go to work (oh...and I won't forget the tape recorder like I did before the North Canton Hoover playoff game)!

FTG, KENO,and whoever else you think you are today.......the title of this thread is "When you are not watching the Tigers" ! Your post didn't have anything remotely close to that or even remotely close as far as responding to any other poster's comments:offtopic:
As I said before, get out of this heat, quickly ! It is frying your brain to the point of irreparable damage:blah:

Kamd50,

All right, I edited my post. It had nothing to do with the Tigers weren't playing, I apologize. Sheesh...95 degrees, burning heat, how much more can I take? If anything, I'm due for a cold splash or something!

Maybe he's been tying his ties too tight, and it's cutting off the oxygen flow to his brain.

Quick, Keno! Take off the suit already and put on a T-Shirt!

When the Tigers aren't playing I stay home and watch my Jackson Township neighbors walking, swimming, bike riding, golfing in the back yard. Most are oblivious that Jackson even has a football team.

If you're so miserable living in Jackson- which it seems you are by your numerous Jackson Twp. bashing posts- why not move to Massillon?

I mean, why waste precious time from your life living in such a horrid place when you could be down in Massillon enjoying life with the other Tiger fans?

And I'm not sure what neighborhood YOU live in....but in my neighborhood, it's a ghost town every Friday night until after the football game is over. We even host the team, coaches and their families twice per season for a Steak Fry. I think your little description of Friday nights in Jackson were quite exaggerated.....but very expected.

I love my neighborhood and my neighbors. Most just don't care about football. One neighbor told me his son played for Jackson , but he doesn't like football and would never go to another game. I am not miserable living here.
I do live in Massillon. It is my address.

My parents have a Massillon address as well.....in Jackson Township.

I just wonder why someone who is such a big Tiger fan as yourself wouldn't move to Massillon?

People don't always choose where they live because of the school system. I lived in Massillon city from 1972 to 2003. I now live in Jackson because of personal reasons(none of your business PA) and I am staying here forever.

Many BIG tiger fans live in Jackson. Many live in Perry. Many live all over the US.

I am not really concerned of your reasons for living here- nor did I ask. I only wondered why you didn't live in Massillon. However, I was not aware that you used to live in Massillon.

I like Massillon. I think if I didn't live here (which I do because of the school system), I wouldn't mind living in there. I really like that one neighborhood off of Wales with the older homes and the curved streets. I don't know the name of it, but it's close to 11 St. and Bennington, etc. There's some really nice homes there.
