Hi guys,
I'm new to Ohio - just moved up here from Florida. I've always heard about the Mass/McK game since I was an infant since my grandfather was a Tiger and played in this game.
I live in Marietta at the moment and am planning on coming to at least one Tigers home game, and then going to the McK game. What do I need to know/do to accomplish this?
I see some of you talking about season tickets - is it possible to buy single game tickets, if so how do I do this? I assume it's not possible to buy tickets on game day? How much of your stadium is reserved?
I know the McK game is away, and I imagine it's always a sellout and I've been waiting over twenty years, so I definitely want to make it to this game. Please, tell me what to do, when to do it, and how.
Thanks for any info guys. Growing up I was always a Buckeye at heart. Always loved the Buckeyes and the Browns, so it is SO nice to finally live in Ohio. Now I have have to decide whether to settle in Massillon, Columbus, or Cleveland!!

You can buy single game tickets and for most games you can buy them at the stadium the night of the game. I believe we have about 4500 season ticket holders and the stadium holds almost 17k. Not sure how it is divided between reserved and GA. For the McK game you can buy tickets now and it is advised to do so.

Football Found,
Let me know when you are coming up for a game. I have a ticket for you. Actually, I am going to miss 2 games (9/14 vs Youngstown Ursuline & 9/21 vs Mentor), so I would have 2 tickets for you if you want on those dates. You can PM me for details.

First of all Welcome !
As for Canton / Massillon tickets
Mck in the past has put these game tickets on sale starting the Monday after their first home game.
I should say , that was a practice a few years ago and with that in mind anything can change at anytime.

If you are just lookin for 1 ticket you can just about ALWAYS get 1 at the game from a scalper. They wont sell for much if any above the ticket price - wife or boss or friend or someone couldn't make it.

Oh, that’s easy…. CHOOSE MASSILLON, CHOOSE MASSILLON. There’s just nothing like being a TIGER!!

I think a misconception among non Massillon people is that our games are always sold out and they won't be able to get a ticket. Someone should get the word out that tickets are available. Maybe the attendence would go up with a little public relations or advertising in that area.

I keep trying to call the box office and never get anyone live, but it sounds to me that you can't buy tickets for weeks 2-10 until after the season starts. I need to purchase tickets for certain games, Mentor, McKinley,Iggy, Solon, Normandy... The rest I'll just wait till game day to make sure I can make it down...

Michelle needs a vacation after getting all of those season tickets out by herself.

Doesn't the AD help out in the ticket office? I know that I've seen a former AD working the ticket window.

Yes, and Michelle already had her vacation several weeks ago.

I'll try and E-mail her instead tomorrow. I'm sure I can get tickets for most of the games on game day. But would like to secure some McKinley,Iggy and Mentor tickets ahead of time...

you can not purchase tickest unitl the fisrt week of the season.. and as far as the iggy game and mentor u cant purchase the tix untill michelle even gets them other wise season ticket holders would have gotten them already... as soon as the schools mail the tix to massillon they will go on sale
if u go t MCK u can get as many as you want ... at massillon u will only be able to purchase 2 tix only

Wow, hey - thank all you guys/gals for your help. It appears Massillon truly is the great community I grew up hearing about!
At this point I'm not sure which regular season games I can make as I'm going to be traveling the state quite a bit looking at places to set up an office, but will be at "the big one" regardless. Can't wait!
One person said there may be a misconception about Massillon football outside of the community and I can pretty much confirm this. As I say, I live in Marietta at the moment and some acquaintances I've made here who are close to some of the local football programs have said I probably shouldn't bother trying to go a Tiger game since there were no seats/tickets available to their home games. This of course is the reason that I decided to seek you fine folks out to figure out what I needed to do.
Sounds like for the McK game I just need to be diligent and maybe even give the ticket office at Fawcett Stadium a call.
What time do you recommend getting to the stadium for a Tigers home game? I always like to get there early and watch warm-ups, hopefully from an aisle seat fairly high up.
How about for the McK game? BTW, I've been to Fawcett for the HOF game years ago - does that monster fill completely up for that game?

Almost full (minus some end zone and other assorted single seats) would be the best way to describe the Massillon McKinley games at Fawcett.

Football Found if you have son(s) move to Massillon if not it doesn't matter. The more sons the better.
I did hear Canton is a nice place to raise a family, especially if the the above does not apply.
