View Full Version : Question about Upper West parking lot?

Currently the Upper West parking lot (the one right across from the stadium) is full of beams and stuff that I assume are for the indoor facility.
Anyone know if this stuff will be moved out before the first game so people can park there.
I received my parking pass for this lot in with my season tickets last Friday so I assume it will be usable...
Any info???

Good question... isn't that where the Orangemen park?

I don't think that is the case anymore.
It used to be for the Orangemen and past booster club presidents but the school took that away from them and now they charge $100 a year to park there.
Story in Massillon paper said that the steel beams will be gone by start of season and school.

$100? Holy moly cow. That's like $15 a game this year -- that's what they charge for the Indians or Browns, isn't it?

Someone in Cleveland told us they jack up the prices even more if the Browns play or if there is a concert
the EVENT parking goes to SPECIAL EVENT PARKING that is a $10 hike

I think it ain't about individual profiteering, I think its about fund-raising.
(To state the relatively obvious.)

I was at the Indians game on Sunday and paid $10.00 for a spot on what would be the north side of Quicken Loans Arena.

Always parked in the parking garage at the Jake.
In the years I had season tix, we had a season parking pass for the Jake parking garage. That is the best deal for parking.

And worth every penny....as it goes to help the Tiger's Program and not the City of Cleveland.

You can park right across the street from Jacobs Field for  6 or 8 Bucks. There are two lots just back of the New York Spaghetti house. First lot $8 second $6. Both about 100 yards from the ball park.

So if the parking lot across from the stadium is for the big time spenders…where is the handicap parking???

Along the front of the stadium.
I guess people that are handicap'd could also buy a spot then they wouldn't need to get to the stadium at 5 for a spot.

I thought that they had handicapped spots near the gate closest to the visitors locker room, so they didn't have that far to go to get to the ramp where they watch the games.

They haven't had those in years.
Besides that end is closed this year. At least I think it is.

The handicapped parking on the west side is (was?) in the grass at the top of the hill, on the SE corner of Russell and Cambridge. Overflow parking is across the street in Stadium Park.

There is to be no parking on the grass ( but there will be ) but the HC is clearly painted across the front spots on the West side just across the street from the $100 spots.
You might not know they are there because people take those spots around 5pm.

The A.D. said today that the steel will be removed from that parking area in time for the game.
Obviously the project has been slow going due to the heavy rains in the area.

If that means we have to go out and pick up those steel beams we will. :furious:
