The last few owners treated the Hoover brand like a black sheep. Will the developer try to "develop" anything, or just try to squeeze some profit out of the land?

I don't believe that the Hoover Company and the land in North Canton are still affiliated.

OK, I wasn't sure. That's quite a bit of land they owned. I guess what I'm trying to ask is, does this developer want the building or just the land?

“I’m hopeful we’re going to bring new life to the Hoover facility,” Held said. Repace said he believes the complex will become a multiuse facility with mix of manufacturing and offices. The new owner likely will lease floor space, he said. "

Repace is the Hoover employees Union President, and has a seat on city council. HMMM.
I'll bet they at least took care of him. Jim is a good guy. Old school UNION, and VERY smart. Shared many a dinner with him.
I'd like to see the details of HIS severance package !!
