Here's the Federal League Pre-Season Coaches' Poll:

1. McKinley 52 points, 4 1st place votes
2. Perry, 51 points, 2 1st place votes
3. Hoover, 37 points, 1 1st place votes
4. Boardman, 30 points
5. Lake, 28 points
6T. Fitch, 22 points
6T. Jackson, 22 points
8. GlenOak, 12 points

And no, I did not see anyone from Massillon taking out the garbage at today's media day.

I'm surprised that McKinley is over Perry. I also think Lake should be higher.

Is there a 1st place vote missing somewhere?

One of the coaches didn't vote. Not sure of who.

Interesting. McKinley got 4 first place votes, 2 seconds, and a third. Perry got 2 first place votes and 5 second place votes. Whoever voted Hoover first also voted McKinley third. Take away Hoover's first place vote, and the other 6 coaches put them between fourth and fifth.

Couldn't be too hard to beat a 3-7 record from '06 !! Maybe they play Roosevelt DC & Chaney again this year !!

Boardman lost a lot of games last year that they had a very good chance of winning: Iggy 8-6 (missed chip shot FG?), McKinley in OT (when Campbell hit a 47-yard FG on the last play of regulation), Jackson (2 long TD's in the last 2 minutes), etc. I think they have most of the team back. So yeah, they should be better.
