Lexington will be holding its 2nd annual Midnite Madness tonight for their football team. Team goes out and starts stretching at 11:30 with contact starting at 12:01. There Will be an Oklahoma drill and then team periods (intra-squad scrimmage). Just wanted to let all know, just in case you dont want to wait until tomorrow to see the first pad popping of the year.

Maybe we should take a look at their coach next time we're hiring---and give him a twenty year contract.

BJ is a Tiger through and through. No doubt about that.
But let's see if he can do better than 2-8 at Lexington first.

OK, but remember he was rebuilding after many, many years of neglect.

I would give him a shot at D coord. first before any thought of the Head Coach.

That coach at Lexington is a jerk! Whoever thought of football practice at midnight?

Lexington was just picked by the media to finish 4th in their conference (OCC) behind Ashland (defending Div II ap poll champs), Orrville, and Wooster. They have a lot of young talent, a very good O-line, and should suprise a lot of people this year.

I hope they do. I like to see most former Tiger players do well.

I'm just kidding Crackerman! Tell B.J and his staff I said Good Luck. I'll be watching their progress throughout the year.

Don't worry, there will be another "Keeping Up With B.J. Payne" thread again this year.
(But it will end if it starts to look embarrassing for him like it did last year.)

Taking over a program with no tradition or pride and turning it around is hardly embarrassing. I can name 3 instances more embarrassing and 2 of them start off with 4-6, the third I still cant talk about. BTW Seeker, it was a thread on Lex, unlike Jackson alums, most Massillon alums like to know what is going on with former Tigers. The Lex Staff is a group, its a package deal. No individuals as coaches.

Which will keep them from coming back to Massillon.

Thank you sir, I stand corrected.
(But I was just funning with you a bit about the embarrassing part.)
This year it will need to be named somthing more encompassing.

I can.
The loss to Whitmer due to some pretty strange play-calling at the end of the fourth quarter.

Yeah, and a phone call I got from some guy named Cracka on his way home from the game about to commit hari-kari.

I had a chance to spend a couple days in Lex last month talking to the staff and players. BJ, Studer, and Jarvis are building a nice program and will be competitive for sure this season. It is some talent in Lex that went untapped for a long time and BJ and staff are bringing it along at a tiger style pace!! From what I saw from the spirit and fire from the team and staff the playoffs are not far behind! I had a nice talk with the Super Mr. Mike Zeigelhofer who is a Massillon grad who played on a State Championship team for the tigers. If I had the time I would be involved in the Lex transformation myself! Maybe next summer!!!
GO LEX! Crackerman---- Tell BJ and Jarvis I want my shirts!!!!LOL

I know you were. You know if I thought you were truly serious I would of responded differently. I know you are a closet Lex fan, even though you wont admit it..lol.
