They have Massillon at #19, but it wasn't in CAPS, like the other teams.

You're right. I missed it. I was surprised Massillon was on there somewhere.

This poll was dicussed at great length on Yappi. Suffice it to say that there are some fairly rediculous criteria used in the determination.

I'm not one to really correct spelling/grammar on message boards, but I couldn't resist this one, mainly since the King of Spelling/Grammar made it.

Just messing with you Wan.

CarlE,

I'd personally like to see the Division I state title return to Northeast Ohio. It's been in Southern Ohio the last several years.

Cincinnati St. Xavier leads with passion. Well see how far that passion can carry them during the season.

Cincinnati St. Xavier has 183 seniors and juniors and leads with numbers. If you can,t win a lot with those numbers, then you should give up coaching. GO TIGERS

THEY ARE NOT UNBEATABLE!!! I hope the tigers get a rematch with X in this years State Title game. We can beat them guys--we had them in 2005 but made a few costly mistakes.

2007 State Champions---Massillon Washington!

We can beat any team ranked in the Midwest region as well.

monte81,

Massillon was at their peak well before Cincinnati St. Xavier hit theirs in terms of momentum. You are right that game was in the Tigers reach. Take away two big scores by the Bombers and you know the rest......

You need to get current.

Here is a good definition of rediculous:
Intentional mispronunciation of "ridiculous" (based on the common misspelling) to indicate that something is ridiculous while also insinuating that somebody involved is stupid (i.e. implying that they are just as stupid as people who misspell "ridiculous").

Much like "def" says and implies more than "definitely", rediculous implies more than ridiculous.

Leave Wan alone. He is still the master in my book.

Since when did urbandictionary.com become a good source for our language? Maybe you should also look at the FIRST definition from your source:
The alarmingly common misspelling of ridiculous.

People spell it that way because they don't know how to spell the word.

I just don't get why one who is so against spelling/grammar errors and enjoys correcting people would find this word acceptable.

But, they can only play 11 at a time. I hope we get a crack at them again. Take away the punt return before half-time and I think we win.

LOL.

I know many people on here on not fans of the Herbstreit Classic, but I am excited about some of the games that will be played. Why can't St. X or Colerain be playing Independence? I really hope Elder beats them.

Do you know how good that team from Charlotte is?

They are a good team, but I really just want to see an Ohio team blow them away. They are usually known for dodging good teams. From what I have heard, they stay away from Gaffney, SC. There are many people down here from Ohio that don't want to hear it if Independence does win. I hope Elder takes it to them. Even if Elder wins a close game we will all hear about the long trip Charlotte had to take and that is why they lost.

If someone has the time, save this list. Then take a look at the end of the year. How close will it be?

having dublin coffman ranked higher than massillon shows this poll has ABSOLUTLY NO CREDIBILITY whatsoever.

I always think our tigers are ranked to low in the BS polls!

However Dublin Coffman has like 7 DI verbals or high Big Ten credibility but I still agree with your statement. People have Canton mcKinley figured to be ranked higher than the tigers in the state poll(joke to me 4 sure)and ST. Ed's lost most of its firepower last season, Glenville ir ranked on talent alone and will lose 2 games, and I cant wait to knock the snot out of Mentor as well.

Exactly. Pre-season polls are meaningless. It's not where you start, but rather where you end up that counts!
