Monday the tiger nation lost a member. Mrs.Marilynn Wright lost her battle with cancer. You may remember her as the caloipe lady. She would ride around town playing before tiger games and for the parade. Others may remember her as a long time teacher for 35years. Say a prayer for Mr.Wright and the family

Thoughts and prayers to them. We sat in the seats behind them for MANY years in section 13. Very Massillon, very upstanding.

They were/have been a cornerstone of the program for many years.

Prayers also for Rathynia Buttermore and her family, who also lost her life to cancer this week at the tender age of 15.

Did she have something to do with York Elementry? Teacher? Did she live near the school. My first memories of Mrs. Wright are all from my days at York. She has been and will always be missed.

She was my fifth grade teacher at York and I absolutely loved the lady! She lived right across the street from York. God Bless her and her family!

she was a wonderfull person i used to bowl with her and her hubby on wed nights out at starway lanes....i new her from my dad who went to school with her

Mrs Wright will be missed by anyone ever associated with Massillon football! The Wright's epitomized the Massillon fan. She was upbeat, fair, and devoted to the Tigers. God blessed us with her, and may God bless her friends and family. Anytime I hear a calliope, I'll hear her playing TIGER RAG!
