Martin finished with 14,101 yards rushing in 11 active seasons, ranking behind only Emmitt Smith (18,355), Walter Payton (16,726) and Barry Sanders (15,269).
I knew Martin was a very good back that many, including myself, underestimated. I never knew he was so high up on the career rushing ranks. Wow.

Martin's best game he had was against Pittsburgh in a 2006 AFC Divisional Playoff when he shredded the #1 Steelers run defense for I think 176 yards in leading New England to a 28-3 win that ended the Steelers reign as conference champions in the frigid confines of Foxboro Stadium.

Did you happen to see the suit he was wearing at the post game press conference?

ChronicTiger,
No I don't recall the suit. If you can get me a video of it, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

martin is one of the most underrated players i've ever seen in the nfl. i think he only had one season under 1,000 yards. every year he produced, yet went fairly unnoticed.

And, he did it all while "under-sized".

1 season under 1000 yards in his career and he is in the same mold of Emmit Smith. Martin will be a 1st ballot HOF for his wonderful talents. I saw a special om him on the NFL Network and he turned his whole life around and his mother was a great influence on him to play football.

He and Hall of Famer Barry Sanders are the only two backs to gain over 1,000 yards in their first 10 years. Pretty impressive.
Reportedly, he is close to securing a sigificant ownership interest with a yet unnamed team.
