"On Wednesday night at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium, that defense had its share of ups and downs in a 7-on-7 scrimmage with GlenOak. The biggest problem the Tigers’ seven defenders had was adjusting to many of the short swing passes and crossing patterns the Golden Eagles threw at them."

I still think Turner should be at Safety. He can hit and cover ground quickly. By keeping him at corner negates some of his athletic ability by requiring him to play one receiver. I think he will be a good corner, but he could be a great safety.

I agree that he could be a great safety. OTOH, it may be a "sum of the parts" calculation. The defensive backfield as a whole may be stronger with him at CB because the talent is such that we have more options at safety than at CB.

I agree with you. But, I'd like to see Turner and Hildreth at Safety both can hit and cover ground. Massey and Pettis at corners. They both can cover very good, but don't quite have the hitting abiltiy and the ability to come up on the run quite as good, IMO.

True.
It's generally easier (at the h.s. level) to find kids that can play safety than it is to find a corner who's capable of "shutting out" an opponent's featured WR.

Turner is gonna be a stud wherever we line him up. Is Herring playing both ways?
